We set aside Memorial Day
Each and every year
To honor those who gave their lives
Defending what we hold dear.
In all the dark and deadly wars,
Their graves prove and remind us,
Our brave Americans gave their all
To put danger far behind us.
They made the ultimate sacrifice
Fighting for the American way;
We admire them and respect them
On every Memorial Day.

Peace & Luv,

Happy Sunday and Happy Summer! I'm using The Sweet Stop's sketch today and why I tried to fit everything I needed to on a 4x4 square card, I'm not sure. Anyway, the papers are from a new stack that I got and it's from DCWV called Summer Dream. I also used some of SU's Rich Razzleberry papers for the flowers, which were cut out from a Sizzlit, and some Baja Breeze cardstock. The image is from Bugaboo, and it's one of the freebies this week. I colored it in mostly with Copics. Then I added some buttons to the centers of the flowers, the glue wasn't even dried when I took this pic(!), and then added the rhinestones into the corners of the card.

I hope you're enjoying a nice long weekend and thanks so much for stopping by. Take care!

Peace & Luv,
Are these ca-ute, or what?!! I can say that because I didn't make them!! I couldn't get to the last CTMH party and so, being the wonderful demonstrator that she is, Ronah made these for me, which is what they were making at the party! Now how sweet is that?! There's a whole new line of cherry papers and embellishments to match that are just awesome, which is what she used for these! If you don't have a CTMH dealer near you, I can hook you up online and have it delivered to your door!

Well Happy Saturday to ya, and I've been out shopping with that same wonderful CTMH gal all day, since Neal is camping with the boy scouts. We had a fun day starting out with 4 of us this morning, (one got sick), and ending up with 3 of us hitting the town hard! We had a blast and went to lunch and laughed a lot. JoAnn's had all of their scrapbooking things 40% off, and I mean everything! I got lots of fun papers that I can't wait to use.

It's 9:00 here already tonite, I think I'll watch a chick flick and hit the hay. I hope your Saturday was a good one, thanks for checking in, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hi there and Happy Friday! This cute little gal's name is Amber, and I got her on My Grafico. I printed her out this morning and I wasn't sure what to say with it. But then The View came on with all of the gorgeous gals from Sex in the City 2, and I've got laundry going and so this is what came to my mind....just where is my fairytale?...I'm sure you can all relate sometimes I hope!

Anyway...I printed her out twice, once on white - where I colored her in and then cut her out and placed her on top of the 2nd patterned piece that I printed on to one of the papers from CTMH's Veranda paper packet. All of the papers, in fact, are from the same set. I did hi-lite a little bit on the chair with a marker to give it a bit of dimension. I used the Mojo Monday sketch today, cut the sentiment out with a nestie, the flower is a sizzlit, and then added a button with some crochet thread tied in a bow.

It's Day 1 of 4 days off in a row for me and I've got a bit of running to do right now that I should take care of before it gets too hot here. Thanks for visiting and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Twisted Thursday with Shirley's 2 Girls! Well the TWIST today is to use a MASCULINE IMAGE. This little guy is of course from "the girl's" and he's just so happy with his award and all, isn't he?! The sketch that I followed is from Tuesday Morning, and I didn't flip it - aren't you proud of me? I just used a square card is all, instead of the standard size. The papers are from 7 Gypsies, called hudson valley scrapbook pack. The ribbon is from SU and then I added some "studs" because if I said jewels or anything else it just wouldn't sound manly enough, now would it?!

Make sure to check out the rest of the Ladies With Attitude's creations and join us. You could be a winner of some of these fabulous digital images!

Thanks so much for coming by, it's Friday for me, and I'm so looking forward to having 4 actual days off in a row! I'm not sure how I'll act, but I know it'll be a creative one. I've got lots of things to get done. I hope your Thursday is just a little bit twisted, and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday!! Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps and the prize is 5 single digital images of your choice! This big 'ol bear is just one of the great images available for you to choose from. I used some DCWV's DP from the Green Stack, together with some SU cardstocks. The flowers are confetti from Michael's wedding section, with some more matching cardstock, and then some heart brads in the centers. The ribbon is from Mike's $1 bin, woohoo!! There is some glitter on the little bees buzzing around, though you can't see it very well.

The rest of the Design Team's creations are always inspirational, so be sure to check them all out and join in on the fun too!

Thanks for visiting, have a very sweet Wednesday, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Strawberry ice that's Pure Bliss!!! Yum-O!! Happy Tuesday and doesn't this little chick-let look so happy just a-swinging her arm and all?! She's from Bee Crafty, and she's part of the whimsical girl series. The cardstock colors I used are SU's Rose Red and So Saffron and the DP's are from K&Company's Berry Sweet designer mat pad. Then I added some ribbon, CTMH flowers, and a few rhinestones. The sentiment stamp is from Inque Boutique. What fun!

I hope you have a very blissful Tuesday, at least a little tiny part of it anyway. Thanks so much for coming by, I appreciate it very much, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hey there and Happy Monday! For today's card I used Taylored Expressions sketch # 114. The cardstock is SU's Baja Breeze and the DP is some of an older K&Company's. The image is from Bugaboo that I cut out using a nestie. The shading around the image came about quite by accident, but a happy accident. I started out using brown, and then thought why would you use brown - it should be blue like the sky right? Well then I used some blue ink right on top of the brown and this is what I got! The sentiment is a stamp from CTMH, and then the yellow paper is the reverse side of the brown floral. The 3 buttons have twine run through them and that was that!

I hope you had a great weekend, and you're looking forward already to this upcoming holiday weekend. I'm taking Friday off, so I'll have a 4-day!

Thanks for stoppin' in, have a great Monday, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Sunday....a special card that's just for ewe..hehe! I hope you're having a great weekend, even though we're at the home stretch already. This card is made using The Sweet Stop's sketch, except that I flipped it. So today if you tilt your head to the left, you'll see how I used it. The base of the card is SU's Creamy Caramel, and there's also some Pretty in Pink in there too. The DP's are from Kaiser's Lemonade paper pad, and I used some of SU's Bravo Burgundy ink around some of the edges. The image is from Pink Petticoat, the flowers were cut out using a Sizzlit and I added some tiny pink buttons in the centers, and the twill ribbon is from CTMH. The gang's all here on this one, ya?!!

Thanks for coming by for a visit and take care!!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Twisted Thursday with Shirley's 2 Girls!! The TWIST this week is to use your favorite color. Mine is purple, and so I used as many different hues as I could find for this one. The patterned papers are from CTMH and the cardstocks are SU. I just like to try and get those 2 companies together as much as possible, don't I...hehe! This S2G's image today is called Cookin', and isn't she just something with a bow in her hair today?! Well I wasn't sure where I was going with this one, and so it certainly didn't end up being less is more, because I just kept piling it on. In the end it's not one of my favorites, but how bad can it be when it's purple?!!!

I can't wait for this work week to be over, it's been a wild and crazy one, that's for sure. It's also heating up here in the southwest, so for me that just means I turn into more of an inside girl than usual.

The rest of the Ladies with Attitude Design Team will never let you down with their creativeness, so be sure to check them all out today. Don't forget to join in on the fun with us and let us know what your favorite color is too!

Thanks for coming by, have an awesome Twisted Thursday, and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!!
It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another Sweet Sketch Wednesday card! Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and the prize is 10 digital images!

This little guy is new and his name is Spike. He's pretty cute for a bad boy name, don't you think?! That name has a special place in my heart because I once had a cat named Spike. He was a naughty little kitty, and I always said it was because I gave him a bad boy name. I loved him with all my heart though, and I think of him often and how me made me laugh!

The papers that I used are all from CTMH's Boom-Di-Ada set, (love that name)! There's glitter on the butterfly, and then I just added a cool polka dot ribbon bow.

Be sure to check out the rest of what the Sweet Sketch Design Team has done with these images, and join us.

Thanks so much for visiting, and take care!
It's Tuesday - are you feeling sweet or sour?.....awww of course you're sweet, lime up my life...hehehe!! I've just got a simple little cutie of a card for today using a stamp from the SU set called Tart & Tangy, which has always been one of my favs. I cut them in half and then cut some circles out with the nestie and cut them in half too. The ink and papers are Wild Wasabi, and yes I still have a little bit of it, even though it isn't available anymore. The yellow papers are from one of SU's Pattern Packs. Then I just added 3 tiny green rhinestones and a Wild Wasabi bow! I think I need a Sprite now!!

Thanks so much for coming by and checking in with me today, I appreciate it very much! Take care of yourself and have an awesome day!

Peace & Luv,
Hello! I know it's Monday again...why does the weekend have to go by so fast! I hope this card cheers you up a bit today. The image is from Pollycraft and of course I just had to have it! The base cardstock and flower are SU's Dusty Durango, and the rest of the papers are from CTMH's Miracle set. I did add a Prisma flower with a rhinestone in the center, and some Prisma glitter to the dragonfly. The little filigree doodads are a punch. The sketch I following is from Taylored Expressions.

Try and have a good Monday, we can get through this together as hard as it may be sometimes. It's a brand new day with new learning opportunities and just another day to create something beautiful, and that's always a good thing!

Thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hi there and Happy Sunday! Today's post is a show and tell of what we made yesterday at our Stampin' Up party. These are all the design creations of our fabulous demonstrator Jan who always has such fun projects for us. This first card uses a stamp from a set called Favorite Things, and I think the cardstocks are Cameo Coral and Garden Green, but I'm not sure. I love the big silver brad and how we were able to use the Cricut polka dot embossing on it!

The second one I did'n't complete fully because I couldn't decide what to put in the center. I thought I'd leave it to add later on for whoever I'm giving it too. I think it would be cute to put some tiny letters on the cone banner. This is a set called Sweet Scoops. It has the 2 different kinds of cones and scoops, there's even a separate stamp that is just sprinkles! Two of the banner flags are popped up, as well as one of the scoops, and then we added some red Stickles on the cherry on top! I think all of these papers are from the current In Color set.

Lastly, this card does not show the gorgeous golden sparkle that we learned how to create. First of all this paper already has the wording on it, kind of like a resist. Then we sprayed 2 of the Smooch Spritz's on it, one brown and one gold and then you wipe them off and let them dry. As it dries all of this great sparkle starts to come out. It's always fun to learn new techniques!

So that was my fun afternoon yesterday, and it's always great to catch up with the gals and have a good time together!

Thanks for stopping by and take care! Enjoy your Sunday!

Peace & Luv,
Hey there! I wasn't sure what I'd post today and didn't really have any kind of ideas until I got a phone call from a friend this morning. She needed some birthday cards for her twin counsins.....automatic inspiration! So these cards are the same, but different. The images are from Pink Petticoat, and the papers are from Paper Reflections with some Creamy Caramel SU cardstock. The round happy birthday stamp and flower in the center are from the SU set called Think Happy Thoughts. Then I used a round scallop punch to go behind the sentiment, and added a rhinestone to the centers of the flowers. I did use a glitter pen on their jewelery too. Thanks for the inspiration Brenda and I hope they like them!!

Well guess where I'm off to....yes yet another Stampin' Up get together...yippee!! Of course I will share our creations with you.

I hope your Saturday is a good one, thanks for coming by, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hey there Cupcake!!!! Today's card was made using not only a Fresh Brewed Design image called Coffee, Cupcake and Confetti, but also the sketch for this week's Freshly Brewed Challenge #2. I turned the sketch, because that's just what I do, and I think it still turned out pretty good. The papers and cardstocks are all SU; Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Dusty Durango. The sentiment is a CTMH stamp from the set called Cupcake Sprinkles. I really like these colors together, and I think Melon Mambo is the only color that's sticking around so I may have to hoard all of the others!

It's been a long and busy week and I'm so happy for the weekend. Tomorrow I'll be creating some cards with the gals, so I'll be sharing them with you next week. I hope your Friday is a good one, thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Twisted Thursday!! It's Home Sweet Home month at Shirley's 2 Girls and this is just another of their special images. The Twist this week is RIBBON, so with that in mind I found some of this fun ribbon that was given to my cardmaking buddies and I from a leftover project. I knew I'd use it some day, and the color is so beautiful! I used one of Melissa's Tuesday Morning Sketches and given the checked background, I found this paper I had from Sassafras that I paired with some SU cardstock; Summer Sun and Only Orange. I cut out 2 ovals with nesties, popped up the image and, thanks to Melissa's sketch, it all came together from there pretty quick. The flowers on the one side are from Close To My Heart, and then on the other side I added the button with a twine bow.

The rest of the Ladies with Attitude Design Team never cease to amaze me with their talents, so be sure you check them out and see for yourself. I know you've got some ribbon, which is the only rule to this week's twist, so there's no excuse not to join us. Remember you could win some of these fun images for yourself!

I'm so glad you came by to visit today, and I always enjoy hearing from you. It's almost the weekend so hang in there, think positive thoughts, and take care of yourself!

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!
