Happy Halloween!!!!!

Hi everybody!! Are you excited?? Such a fun day! Yep, this is a picture of me between 6 and 8 somewhere I'm guessing. This was originally a slide I guess you'd call it that my mom gave me that either a neighbor or relative took I suppose. So I took it in and had a picture made from it because all of the other pics of me around this age are all black and white! No giggling about how old I am now!

I'm also sharing with you a couple of things that I made at the last Stampin' Up par-tay that I went to that I thought would be fun to unveil today. First is a candy bag topper. It's made out of a top note die cut, and then we used some of the new Halloween stamps and some ribbon. Really cute!

Second, we made a spooky little candy bar holder. Count Frankie was made using lots of different size punches, and as you can see it holds the candy perfectly!

Both of these were all brought together by Jan, our Stampin' Up demonstrator who puts lots of time into coming up with something new for us to make. Thanks Jan! We also made a Thanksgiving card, but of course you'll have to wait a bit to see that one!

Well I do hope that you have a very fun, safe, and awesome day no matter what it is you choose to do today. Like I've said before, this is my very favorite holiday, and I do intend to enjoy it as much as I possibly can! Take care!

Peace and Luv,

Hoppy Wishes and Happy Friday and Happy Halloween-Eve....I think I got everything in there! The idea and inspiration came from Pink Petticoat today, which is also where this lil girl froggie came from. I colored it in and added some glittery stickers to the centers of the flowers. Then I computer generated the sentiment and pop-dotted it. The cardstocks are SU's Garden Green and Perfect Plum. The polka DP is also SU, one of the Garden Green patterned papers. Then I added a bunch of tiny buttons and a pretty ribbon. Hope you like it!

I'm very, very happy it's Friday, and I hope you're all ready for the holiday weekend! Thanks for visiting, and your great comments. Take care!

Peace and Luv,
Thank you, thank you very much....that's my inner Elvis speaking again, sorry....hehe! Happy Thursday! So as I'm blurfing along on several different websites, I realize that I've got lots of digital scrapbooking stuff on my computer that's really missing me. I kind of got into the digital scrapbooking thing after the traditional scrapbooking and before the cardmaking. I made one or 2 albums, but bought much more than I ever used (who me?). So today I am using a set from called Intuition for all of the papers and the star flower, which is pop-dotted. The little thank U stamp is from SU, the ink is Red Riding Hood, and then I just added my usual ribbon and a button. Oh, and the cardstock is SU's Soft Suede. Fun stuff.

The temps here dropped 20 degrees overnite Tuesday and it was only 60 yesterday, yikes! It's supposed to be a bit chilly again today, but never fear tho, it'll be back in the 80's by the weekend they say and it should be good weather for the trick or treaters. Last year it rained, and we don't want that to happen again!

Thank U for visiting, I appreciate your comments, have a great day and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Enough with the boy cards for awhile, ya?!! Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's challenge is also a color challenge. The colors (or something close to it), are SU's Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, So Saffron and Old Olive. What a great combo! The image I used is from Bee Crafty, and my favorite part of this one is the foot sticking out of the bubbles, so cute! I colored it in with markers, put some pink Stickles on the bubbles and pop-dotted it. The DP is from Paper Pretties, and from there I used a flower punch, some buttons and some ribbons. I do hope that you will join us, and if you need more inspiration, just hop on over to see what the rest of the design team has done today!

Have an awesome Wednesday and I hope today's card gave you your fix of girly for the day! Thanks for coming by, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Tuesday! I've got another Richard card for ya, I guess there are a bunch of them out there! Anyway, this card was made with 2 stamps; the blades of grass are from an old SU set called All Wrapped Up and I used Old Olive ink. The dragonfly I'm not sure where I got, and it has no name on it, but it is one of my fav's, and I used Blue Bayou ink for it. The sentiment is again computer generated, and then I inked up the edges with Close to Cocoa. The papers are Old Olive and Creamy Caramel, and then the DP is from the Thoroughly Modern set. Then I added 4 brads, some sheer blue ribbon, and some green needle punch thread. Pretty quick and easy!

I'm glad Monday is over, aren't you? So now we can say we've got one working day down, so the rest of the week should go smoothly don't-cha think? I hope so! I promise tomorrow to have a fun girly card for ya for Sweet Sketch Wednesday that I think you're going to like! Thanks for coming by for a visit, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Sunday nite, or Monday if that's when you are reading this! I've got another guy card for ya that I actually like! The tree stamp that I used is from Unity that I stamped once on the off white with Close to Cocoa ink, and then again on some Kiwi Kiss patterned paper, cut out the leaf portion, and pop-dotted it. Then I used some cinnamon colored Sparklets from DeNami Design on the bird to give it some zip. The base of the card is Baja Breeze, the other two DP's are from DCWV's Retro stack. Then I computer generated the sentiment and added a tiny button. This is another card that I could see myself using different colors with in order to girly it up!

I hope your weekend was good, I had a really fun Stampin' Up par-tay on Saturday that was great, and we made a couple Halloween treat holders that I'll show you later in the week, and also a Thanksgiving card. Thanks Jan for all of the great SU ideas and to Jaylene for being the hostess with the mostess!!

I appreciate you visiting, I hope this is the start of a great week for you, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
A little somethin', somethin' for ya here today on this fabulous Thursday! I wasn't sure where I was going with this one, but I guess I'm happy with the results. I made up a bunch of these flowers in the jar quite some time ago, in the spring, and decided to use one of them for today cuz the flowers kinda looked like fall to me. I'm including a pic of one of the cards I made then too. The stamp is from Endless Creations and I used Versamark with colored chalks and then put some rhinestones in the centers. The cardstocks are SU's Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. I thought my dragonfly punch was feeling neglected too, so I added a few of them for fun. The sentiment stamp is from SU's A Little Somethin' set. The DP I think is K&Company, not sure, and the sheer ribbon is from Shirley's 2 Girls.

I hope your week is going along well, as always thanks for visiting and for all of your great comments, they are very much appreciated! Have a great day and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! What an awesome sketch to work with again - luv this one! The sponsor of today's sketch challenge is DigiStamp Boutique, and this little gal that I used today for my card is called Ruby. They have all sorts of absolutely the cutest images, and very affordable too! I wanted to use fall colors, and so all of the papers are from Close to My Heart, the Grace collection. I colored her in with markers, added a fun SU corduroy button with a little ribbon scrap, and tied it up with some punch thread. See what you can do with the littlest piece of ribbon? That's probably why I have way too many scraps laying around! The sentiment is a stamp from SU's Always Time for You set. I printed out the image twice, and cut out the top butterfly to pop-dot it. I'm actually pretty happy with this one, as I'm sure you'll be when you see what the rest of the Design Team has created. Just remember that if you join us this week, and seriously why wouldn't you (?), you can win some of your own DigiStamp Boutiques' images!

Thanks for visiting, your comments, and your continued inspiration!

Peace and Luv,
Hi there! It's Tuesday, and I made up a card using the Mojo Monday sketch. The image is digital, and it's from Pink Petticoat and I added some brads and pop-dotted it. All of the papers I'm using are from the Halloween stack that I got at Michael's this year. Lots of fun papers in there, and I want to use as much as I can of . I also used a scallop border punch, a label punch, and a small circle punch. Then I just added a white twine bow. I always enjoy the Mojo Monday sketches and luv to see what not only their designers come up with, but the hundreds of others who join this challenge too.

Thanks for checking in, I luv hearing from you and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Hey there! Here's a quick little notecard that I threw together that is made with one of the fun Halloween stamps from Shirley's 2 Girls. I colored it in with some markers, brushed the edges with some orange ink and punched it out with a scallop circle punch. The base of the card is SU's Creamy Caramel, the DP is Michael's/Recollections, and then I added some ric-rac and a bow! I hope you're getting all of your little gifts together for the upcoming holiday - it's coming up fast!

Thanks for visiting me this Monday, I appreciate your comments, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
If you didn't see my post a couple of days ago, I'm on a mission to do guy cards, so this is another one for ya here today. Although, I think this one could actually be for anyone, don't you think? The stamp is a fun one to use where you choose the top and bottom sentiments seperately from a set from Close to My Heart. Plus it has that vintage look to it, which I like. The set is called Express Postage. The base of the card is black, and the DP's are a mixture of SU, CTMH and My Mind's Eye. The other cardstock's used are from SU. The sentiment is pop-dotted, and then I just added some brads and some twill ribbon. One thing I can say about these cards is that they are quick and easy.

I hope your weekend is going well, I just got home from a mani/pedi and I got black with pumpkins on my toes. Fun and ready for Halloween! It's always good to get pampered when you need it, ya know?!

Thanks for stopping in, I luv to hear your comments and check out what you are doing too, so keep up the good work and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Friday! I wanted to play with another one of Mo's Digital Pencil images, and after lots of coloring with SU's Bold Brights markers, this is what I came up with. The DP is from Recollections/Michael's Halloween paper pack, and the ribbon is from Doodlebug Design. Then I added a star and a swirl die cut, with a purple button in the middle. Such a fun little image to play with, although this turned out to be a bigger than usual card, it's about 5" square.

Have an awesome day, thanks so very much for stoppin in, and take care!

Peace and Luv,

Boy card alert! At work they send out birthday cards to all of the members of the board. I recently saw one of the receipts for what they were spending on the generic card shop cards and it broke my heart, so I decided I'd offer up some of mine to see if they would be interested. Well I'm happy to say that they are, and so I'll be making about 75 cards over the next year. They are mostly all men, and so this will give me the chance to think out of the box a bit. We all have dads, uncles, brothers, etc. in our lives and they deserve something special too, no? Don't worry, I'm not going to stop making my usual funny, goofy, girly stuff, but I will be posting the boy cards that I make in the hopes that it will inspire you a little bit too. The stamps I used are from Inkadinkado and the sentiment stamp is from Unity that I used SU's Pacific Point ink with. The DP's are from Close to My Heart and My Mind's Eye. The cardstocks are Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry. So then the main image is pop-dotted, I used a ColorBox cat's eye chalk around the edges and then I wrapped some twine toward the bottom and tied it up to finish it off. My favorite part is the birdie on the inside!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comments very much, and let me know what you think of this one. Take care!

Peace and Luv,
Hi!! It's Wednesday and that means I've got another card for you made with a great sketch for Sweet Sketch Wednesday!! This image is a digital download and it's from an awesome and extremely talented person at a really fun blog called Mo's Digital Pencil too! Such awesome stuff you will find there, and I can't wait to play with more of the fantastic images! I colored this one in with markers, and then put some Stickles on the cream. The DP is from SU's Bella Rose collection and the cardstock is Chocolate Chip. The sentiment, which is a Unity stamp, is pop-dotted, and then I just added 3 pretty pearls and a sheer bow. The other designers always come up with beautiful cards to share, so do hop on over to check them out, and have some fun and join us this week!

Ok, so I changed my picture here, but why is it so flippin' big?! I like it (thank you Luping), but not that much! It's been a year, so I figured I'd better change it, and you know how hard it is to finally get a picture of yourself you'd kinda like to finally share, ya know? If any of you bloggers out there can help me downsize this thing, let me know!

So I hope y'all are doing good out there wherever you are. For me, well life can be looney tunes sometimes, but I'm doing fine and keeping busy with work and having fun with friends who keep my sanity half way in check. The weather is pretty good here in AZ, but it's supposed to get kinda hot again at the end of the week. Thanks so very much for visiting me, sorry I've been such a slacker with the lack of posts, but I'm glad to know you're out there hangin' in there with me. Let me know how you're doing and what you've been up to. Take good care of yourself and those you love!

Peace and Luv,
It's Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday time again! This cute little kitty stamp is none other than Shirley's 2 Girls, of course! I was inspired by an awesome card on splitcoast stampers by Jessica and the colors, and I really liked how she used the clips and ribbon. The papers are all SU; the cardstock is Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulance, and the DP is from the Cottage Wall collection. The twist is to add a metal tag or something metal, and so I've got 4 brads and a metal circular clip. The image is pop-dotted and then I added this great ribbon that I got a bunch of for only 99 cents! I've been hearing about this fabric and ribbon outlet by my cardmakin' gals, and so I went right from work yesterday. I only had 45 minutes before they closed, but I managed to have some fun! They told me to give myself at least 2 hours, and they were right. So I need to go back when I have more time. They also have lots and lots of buttons.....!

Thanks for visiting and I appreciate and thank you very much for all of your great comments!

Peace and Luv,
It's another Sweet Sketch Wednesday everybody! The sponsor of today's Sketch #18 is Say it With Stamps. That is where I got this cute little buttonhole that proclaims to the world that I can deal with anything if I have the right shoes! How cute is this? Since I had just gotten this cute shoe paper from Abbey Road, with the matching sandal cut-out, I thought it was perfect timing! The lite brown opposite side of the DP is in the middle. The cardstocks used are SU's Creamy Caramel and Baja Breeze. I used a label nestie, a flower punch, and pop-dotted them, as well as the buttonhole. Then I just added some rhinestones and ribbon. Pretty and girly and fun! If you like this buttonhole, do go and see all of the other fun things that they have to offer. Also, if you join in on this challenge, you could win some of them! Go and check out what the rest of the Design Team has done, and show them some luv too!

I hope your week is starting off well. I appreciate you visiting and really enjoy your comments!

Peace and Luv,
I'm not sure if happy and Monday go together, so I'll just wish you a Happy Day today!! I hope your weekend was good. Neal and I got out of town for a couple of days, and we had a really good time. We took a bunch of pics, and so I'll see if there's something worthwhile that I can share with you over the next couple of days. So this cute little puppy image is from Pink Petticoat, and the sentiment is a Unity stamp. The DP's are all from SU's Bella Bleu collection and the cardstocks are SU's Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Not Quite Navy and also a bit of Chocolate Chip. I colored in the puppy with markers and then cut him out. Some of the edges are distressed. I also added a couple yellow buttons tied on with some crochet thread and then added some pretty thin yellow ribbon. He's a cutie, that's for sure.

I hope your day is a good one and thanks for visiting. Take care!

Peace and Luv,
It's World Cardmaking Day!! Well if ever there's a day to celebrate what we do, it should be today, ya?! I used some Unity stamps from the September kit of the month, with cardstocks from SU's Earth Elements collection. The DP is from the Paper Loft. I cut out the image and put some pop-dots behind the 3 layers, used a scallop border punch, and added some lace and twine. They are happy, yet fall-ish colors I think, and I hope you like it. I do hope that you take the time to make a special card for at least one person today to help spread the luv for what we all do!

I hope you're having a very good weekend and I thank you for visiting me today and all of the days that you do to help support my habit! I do appreciate your comments so very much!
Take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Friday! This is a thank you card for a wonderful friend of mine who recently gave me a dragonfly bracelet, for no reason at all. She just said she saw it in a boutique and thought of me. Needless to say I've been wearing it every since and I luv, luv, luv it!! I was inspired to make this card by one that I saw while I was blurfing, except that she used butterflies. Actually, hers was much better than mine, but I feel like my creativeness is a bit off again anyway. I used a piece of DP that I had that looks like vintage memo paper. It even has the tape on it too, as you can see! There's some brown cardstock behind it. The dragonfly stamp is from Inkadinkado, and I used some ColorBox cat's eye inks on them, and distressed the edges with the opposite colors. Then I added some tiny blue rhinestones down the centers. I finished it up by using a piece of grosgrain ribbon to tie it all up. I hope she likes it.

I hope your week went well. I'm very glad it's the weekend, as I'm sure you are! Thanks for coming by, and your comments are always welcome! Take care and have a fabulous weekend!
