Just a couple of little polka dot thank you note cards I'm sending off in the mail today. I meant to post this before I left for work this morning, but you know how that goes some days. I was inspired by the Prisma flowers and then I used one of the little stamps from a Patterns & Prints set from Hero Arts. The centers of the flowers are actually centers from some silk flowers from Michael's, and then I put a rhinestone in the middle of that. The ribbons are from Target. Very cutesy.

It was an interesting day at work, as usual, and I'm just glad that I'm home now. I got my daily welcome home kisses and hugs from Dixie, and now I can relax for a couple of days, at least that's the plan anyway. I do want to get started on a new paperback, Janet Evanovich's Lean Mean Thirteen. Her fourteenth book in the series has actually been out for awhile, so I need to catch up. They crack me up and sure are fun to read, which is just what I need right now. Of course I'll be creating more cards for your viewing pleasure this weekend too!

Have an awesome weekend everybody and take care!

Peace and Luv!

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!!

Peace and luv -

Feeling a little froggy today? Well I'm sending you a little hoppy-ness! I decided this little guy needed to come out of the box for a bit from the All Wrapped Up stamp set. I used VersaMark with the flower from the same set on the Sky Blue and Old Olive background, make a bitty tag and added a bit of ribbon. The button is a brad and the ribbon from Michael's. Cute and simple.

It's Tuesday, still not feeling the greatest, and I hate days like this. Just trying to get thru the work day and go home and rest and watch more Olympics. Did you see it last nite? Holy cow I really think the US got ripped off on the gymnastics. They worked to cover their butts explaining the scoring, but I'm not sure I or anybody else watching can agree that we should have received the silver on that one. I know there's still the controversy as to if the girls from China are even 16 and I can see why. They sure look younger to me too.

Have an awesome day and go USA!

Peace and Luv to you!

Hey there! A couple of birthday cards here today. The inspiration from some old ice cream cone stickers I found from Susan Branch. The main paper is Close to Cocoa and the dark brown is Bazzill. The polka dot paper is from K&Company's Wild Saffron set. Then I used my little ice cream cone stamp with Close to Cocoa ink and stamped all over Sahara Sand on the one and Purely Pomegranate on the other. There are little silver heard brads on the top scoop and the ribbon is from American Crafts.

Didn't feel great yesterday so considering how I felt, I'm glad that I got these two done.

Off I go to get ready for another glorious work day.........

Have an awesome day and take care!

Peace and Luv!

TGIF!! Gotta luv $1 stamps, and when you can get a little set like this one, it's a bonus! The background paper is American Crafts with Purely Pomegranate, white and black. I used Purely Pomegranate ink and Black Staz On. The ribbon is from Michael's, the crocheted flower by moi, some rhinestone stickies and a button.

Not sure what's going on this weekend really. I've got a hair appointment first thing tomorrow morning, then hanging out with Neal and the kids. I'm just happy to have a few days off of work to relax. Have a great weekend, whatever you do!

Peace and Luv -

Hello there and Happy Thursday! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday, to be honest I was just too dog gone tired Tuesday nite and lazy too. This one I re-did 3 times and I'm still not crazy about it, so my mojo must be on the fritz or something. Anyway, the strawberry is from the Tart & Tangy stamp set and I threw some Wild Wasabi paper in with a little bit of black, pink and white and the base of the card is red. The ribbon is from Michael's, and I used lots of pop-dots and my dragonfly punch with some Prisma glitter. Used the white Signo pen and added a couple of little red brads.

I'm running late here today, so I do want to follow up and let you know that my "talk" went well at work. I received an apology and yesterday was a really smooth day. Things that came up were dealt with like actual adults and I didn't go home with a headache. It certainly makes me feel like today will be better too. Fingers crossed that it sticks for awhile!

Have a great day!

Peace and Luv -

Hi there. This is a stamp from the Sealed With a Kiss set that I got recently that is on the retired list. I wish I could have gotten more, but then I want it all, and who doesn't? The heart brad fit perfectly on it and I used some glitter Stickles around it. The background paper is from There's Wild Wasabi paper around that and the ribbon is also Wild Wasabi grosgrain. Can't believe they are getting rid of that color too.

Not sure how today is going to be here at work. I'm still a little bit upset about some things that happened at yesterday, so I think I need to have a chat with the owners and see where that goes. Need to set some boundaries and talk about just what it is they want from me I think. You know how that goes, one of THOSE conversations. I'm just frustrated a little bit, well maybe a lot, and so are many of my co-workers. It's time. So either I'll still have a job tomorrow, or maybe I'll be without one in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes. Should be interesting.

I hope YOUR day is great, and let me hear from you - I enjoy the comments!

Take care - Peace and Luv!

Hello and Happy Monday! This card is another fun scrappy project. The background paper is from Once Upon a Time and the center doo-dad is from The hello stamp is a Calligraphy stamp set from Michael's and I'm not sure where the dragonfly is from. I took a picture of the envelope and the inside as well. I don't always finish off the inside, but I know that it adds that wow factor to the receiver instead of it just being plain. So this is a reminder to do that, it really finishes it off. I then just added some rhinestones and ribbon.

I had a great weekend hanging out and watching the Olympics and did some running around and visiting with Neal's family. We also went to Neal's school yesterday and got his class ready for school starting today. Since the school he teaches at is in Scottsdale we stopped and had a late lunch at a fabulous place called Oregano's. Yummy pizza and salad and passion fruit iced tea!

Not sure how all of you are with the Olympics, but it's pretty much a continuous thread on our tv. Amazing stuff going on there. Such talent I can't even imagine having!

Have an awesome day!

Much Peace and Luv,

Happy 08-08-08 and TGIF!! Since 8 is my lucky number, I'm very excited about today. This just HAS to be a good day, doesn't it? It's Friday, it's the opening of the Olympics and my favorite number, so I'm expecting good things out of this day!

No stamps were harmed in the making of this card. That's because I didn't use any (hee, hee)!! From where this card started out, to what it is now is interesting. It was really big, with 3 circle flowers, and dwindled down to this. To me it looks like when you are looking down into a bouquet of flowers. I do like the color combo. Lots of dots and tape were used and in the end I like it and from where it started, to wanting to just toss it in the trass, I'm happy now.

I do hope y'all have an awesome and fun weekend. Not too much planned for me really. I am getting together with my Stampin' Up gal to get the new catalog. I've got a guy coming over to look at getting some electrical work done, so that maybe over my desk I can actually get some good lighting. Just imagine the cards I can make if I can actually see what I'm doing?! Other than that, it's a no kids weekend, so movies and Olympics and some shoppin and hanging with my guy. Be safe!

Peace and much, much luv!

This is a CASE'd card of SimplyStampin123 on SCS. The stamp is from Cowtown Stamps and as you can see below I have a similar picture of Dixie looking like this that her daddy sent me right around the same time that I got this stamp, which I thought was ironic. She's so silly! I tried to initally do her coloring, but it didn't work out very well. Also used is the tiny "ruff day?" stamp from the Little Love set. The background papers are from, the ribbon from American Crafts and the dog bone clip from Sticker Planet. I watercolored the doggie but it wasn't on watercolor paper, so the edges kinda curled up, but I liked how it looked so I left it that way. I put Color Box Chestnut Brown chalk inkpad on all of the edges with Blue Bayou and Close to Cocoa ink on the image along with So Saffon.

I'm glad it's Thursday, but of course wish it was Friday. Still kinda tired, so I need to rest up tonite for the weekend! Still getting caught up with Neal on our recorded shows from when he was gone. Last nite was Big Brother nite, we had 3 episodes to watch. Crazy people on that show, altho I can't imagine how I would handle being locked up in a house for 3 months with a bunch of people I don't know either. I would hope better than these brats. The things I watch for entertainment and laughs! Mostly laughs! Neal and I have talked about starting a new blog where we just talk about reality shows and new movies and stuff. I'm sure there's something like it out there already, but he being a writer he'd luv the creative outlet. Just not sure now that school is starting up again and he'll be teaching some more new classes in addition to what he's already got that we'll have the time for it. Maybe if we just do a recap of the week and just post on the weekends. Something to think about anyway.

Lastly, since I'm originally from Wisconsin, of course I'm a huge Green Bay Packer and Brett Favre fan. I must say that being in luv with a Viking fan, who is one of our biggest rivals, can be difficult sometimes and when there was talk that Brett may go to Minnesota I just couldn't believe it. Now that it sounds pretty official that he's going to the New York Jets I just can't believe that either. I never thought he'd wear anything but a Packer uniform. I luv him to death, and we certainly don't know all sides of the story so its hard to judge, but geez this is going to be a really hard football season for me.

Have a great day -

Peace and Luv -

Hi there, just a quick and simple card for ya here today with yet another $1 stamp from Michael's. The background striped paper is from, some other Bazzill scraps, a little ribbon and silver stickies, (not sure what else to call them). I colored the stamp in with the only 4 copic markers that I have. The jury is still out on whether I like them enough to buy more. I like them, but I'm just not sure what the big deal is about them, plus they are so very spendy!!

It's Wednesday, and I'm tired!! The last time I looked at the clock it was 2:30am. Neal's flight was delayed and didn't get in until really late and so I just want to go back to bed, believe me. I wish I had some vacation days to take, but alas I am the ever so dedicated employee (ya right).

I hope you have a wonderful day, and do leave me a comment if you wish after spending a little time on my little blog here and let me know what you think. I'd luv to hear from ya!

Have a great day!

Peace and Luv -

If you know me, I luv a sale and anything I can get for $1. Like yesterday, this is another $1 stamp from Michael's that I stamped twice, used a hole punch to cut out the flowers and colored them in, then pop-dotted them on top of the first stamp. Really just used scraps from there and a bit of ribbon. I really like these colors together tho. I did use some soft sky ink to texture the paper behind the stamp a bit just to give it a little more interest.

Neal comes home tonite!!! I can't wait and it's just been way too long to be apart. Today has just got to go by fast because I'm just not a very patient person sometimes. I think Dixie knows it too, because she's been looking out the front window for him!

I'd luv to hear from more of you out there. I can see from my site meter how many people visit here everyday, and I'm truly grateful. I'd just really luv to hear your comments tho, it keeps me going. I appreciate those who almost always comment (Shawn) but it would be great to hear from more of you. I am especially intrigued by those of you from other countries and wonder how you heard about me.

Have a very happy, happy and awesome day -

Peace and much luv,

Hi there - I stumbled upon another digital scrapbooking site called YouNique Photos by Lynnie Smith. The patterened paper is a free download called Annaliese. Then I used some off white behind it and Sahara Sand. The stamp is from Michael's $1 bin, and I stamped it again on the patterned paper to cut out the vase to match, added a bit of ribbon and a button. Quick and easy, and I LUV this paper!

Well the weekend went just ok. I got some things done, but me and Dixie sure are lonely without Neal. He'll be back tomorrow, but its been a very long week. I cleaned out cupboards and closets and did a little shopping and watched a bunch of movies and just some fun girly stuff. Can't wait until tomorrow tho.

It's actually cloudy and icky out here today, and extremely humid. I heard some thundering last nite, but I don't think it ever rained. Maybe we'll get some today. That sure would be nice.

I'm still trying to decide about the doggy day care for Dixie. I do need to get her shots first anyway before I can even take her there. I do have a funny little story about her this morning. I bought her a cute little "couch" and that's exactly what it looks like too and she just really didn't want anything to do with it. Of course she'd rather sleep in bed with me so my legs have to hang off the side, but anyway.....this morning I'm getting ready and then I realize she's not around so I'm looking and looking and calling her name and she's not answering. So I'm freakin' a little bit. Well Neal's daughter had put one of her stuffed dogs in the couch, it looked cute there, so I left it and when I was cleaning this weekend I put it back in her room. Well.....could that have been it all along, she just didn't like the stuffed dog that was in it - because there she was laying in it this morning and wagging her tail at me!!! Crazy pooch!!

Have an awesome day!

Peace and Luv -

Happy Friday y'all!! This card is an inspiration and CASE of Tilly on SCS. The stamp set used is Time Well Spent, and I used Wild Wasabi paper and ink, then some black, orange and yellows. The orange glitter stickers in the centers of the flowers and on the butterfly are from Stampendous and I also used a black marker for the centers of the tulips. The centers of the daisies are pop-dotted. Not sure where the ribbon is from, but it's one of my favorites.

We're heading out after work here to meet up with some previous co-workers for some adult beverages, so I'm looking forward to that tonite. This weekend I want to tear apart my closet and get rid of things that I just don't wear anymore. It's packed and it seems I just wear the same things anyway, so it's time to purge. Of course, after that I'll probably need to go shopping to replace some of it, right?!

It's just me and Dixie all weekend, so it'll be good to spend some quiet time with her and go for some walks too. There's a doggy day care that just opened up down the road from my work that charges $18 a day that I'm thinking about doing maybe a couple times a week so she gets some exercise and just gets out a little bit. Call me crazy, but she's my baby girl and since I only have her a few months I want her to not be so bored all day long by herself. I'll give it a try and she how she does I think.

Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!

Peace and luv,
