I got roses!!!! Aren't they beautiful?! They are more pink than the pictures show, but I was so excited since he is out of town for awhile and when we were at the Dollar Tree over the weekend they had this stamp (the daisy and the sentiment are one stamp) and I wasn't going to get it, but he told me I should, so now I know why! This card is a CASE of Lost in the 60's (Diane) at Splitcoaststampers, and I knew once I saw hers that I had the same ribbon, just thinner and I think mine is from Michael's. The heart stamp is from Inque Boutique, the embossed paper is from Michael's, and then I used Pixie Pink, Purely Pomegranate and what could be Old Olive paper, but I'm not sure. There's a big glitter center on the flower with Lace Stickles, 4 little green flower brads and I used my Signo pen to dot it all up! Thanks Diane for the inspiration!

I always turn the bedroom tv on in the morning while I'm getting ready and the movie Mannequin was on, and I sure wish I could have finished watching it. It's such an old movie, but a cute little romance. I usually leave the living room tv on for Dixie during the day (she luvs the Animal Planet), but I couldn't even turn the darn thing on this morning. What's up with that? I have no idea what happened, since I was watching it last nite. Even trying to turn it on manually wouldn't work. This of course has to happen when Neal's gone! Hopefully I won't break anything else before he gets home!

Have an awesome day everybody!

Much Peace and luv!

How cute is this little guy? Another stamp from Cowtown Stamps
that I just luv. This layout design is another from Lily Bean's Paperie. I did finally break down and get a bag of buttons from Wal-Mart the other day so my poor guy doesn't have to worry about me taking them off of his shirts anymore. The other stamp used is the plaid backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms and it was inked in So Saffron.

Here it is Wednesday and between today and tomorrow being the end of the month, I will be busy at work but that's ok. Better that than bored for sure.

Thanks for taking a peek and have an awesome day!

Peace and luv,

Not the greatest picture, but a fun little simple card made with another stamp from Cowtown Stamps
on their $1 clearance. I just liked it, not sure why. I colored it in with a couple of Copic markers that I got recently and added a few pink sticker rhinestones. For the sentiment, I wasn't sure what to put, and Neal's idea was "nice pear", but I didn't think anyone who might receive this card would appreciate that like he would. I kept thinking I needed to do more to this one, but I just stopped and left it at this and pop-dotted the pear.

My Neal is gearing up for his trip back home to Minnesota for his high school reunion and besides hopefully getting a bunch of cards done, I'm going to miss him like crazy. Thankfully, I've got Dixie to keep me company so that I don't go completely bonkers! Wish I had a bunch of vacation time to take off and go with him. I need to remind myself to negotiate that with the next job I get! We just switched to directv and you know how that goes, you get a bunch of movie channels free for a couple of months, so I'll have that too. I made a promise not to watch any of our reality shows without him, so catching up on chick flicks is what I'll be doing.

If any of you watch Design Star on HGTV, you know it's down to the final 2. I think I like Jen the most, but this season was a real let down I thought compared to the last 2. I do watch Color Splash, which was the winner 2 seasons ago, but I'm not crazy about Kim's show, who is the gal that won last year. I like her, but just not crazy about her show. There's also a new show called The Stagers. This is totally what I'd like to do! I have helped several friends back home in Wisconsin and then in Colorado stage their houses to sell and all of the houses that I've had have sold within a week, so I must do something right. I'd love to do it and actually get paid for it tho. Not sure how well this show will go over, since they're aren't working so much with what people already have, but they get this high dollar stuff from their warehouse and also buy stuff it make it look good. I can see doing a little bit of that, but not as much as they do.

Anyway, guess I've had too much coffee this morning since I'm rambling on.

Have an awesome day!

Peace and Luv,

Hey there, I ordered some new stamps and this fun little guy is from Cowtown Stamps and I stamped him with Close to Cocoa ink and then watercolored him a bit and the background with Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi. Then the polka dot paper is actually a big background stamp that I got from Cornish Heritage Farms which is Groovy Guava paper and ink. I pop-dotted the balloon and used a bunch of Stickles glitter and then more glitter on top of that. This is a gift card that I found going thru my Christmas stuff and decided to use them up and make some for birthdays. The dimensions of the card itself is 4" x 11" and then you fold up the bottom at 2 3/4" and glue the 2 sides down. Then the top you fold down at 3 1/4". Makes the perfect gift card holder.

As you read from my previous post I had a good time Saturday at the Christmas in July card party and then Neal and I went out for dinner and drinks Saturday nite.

We slept in yesterday and then went for breakfast at the oh so awesome Waffle House and then made a trip to the Dollar Tree. I found the greatest dishes there! We just laid around the rest of the day and watched a couple of movies. We watched When a Stranger Calls and then a new one called 21. Both were just ok and pretty predictable.

I've got a real creative itch going on today and wish I could stay home and create a bunch of cards, but that's not possible. Hope it sticks with me and I get a couple done tonite.
Take care and have an awesome day!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Holidays!!!??!! I was fortunate enough to be invited today to a card making Christmas in July show. It's so much fun to meet new people that share the same passion that you do. Big hugs and special thanks to Jan who is the Stampin' Up representative who invited me to share the afternoon with this fabulous group of women. These cards are completely Jan's designs and we had so much fun working on them. I'll share with you what I remember and hope I don't screw it up too bad.....The Let it Snow card uses the Big on Christmas stamp set and is Soft Sky and Blue Bayou paper and Blue Bayou ink. We embossed the background with the Cuttlebug machine, and used this great snow application that she got from Michael's. The snowman face is pop-dotted and colored in with markers. Ribbon is also Soft Sky.

I couldn't get a good picture of the outside of the clear card, but it has a big snowflake on it with a rhinestone brad in the center of it. The stamp set is The Snowflake Spot and we also embossed the sentiment. Luv that clear stuff!!!

The Peaceful Wishes card which is also the name of the stamp set, uses Purely Pomegranate paper and ink and ribbon. Also Old Olive and Close to Cocoa ink and 4 silver star brads.

Again, a huge thank you Jan - you're the best!!

Peaceful Luv Wishes -

Just a simple, back to the basics card here for today. I found yet another great site called Clean and Simple Stamping
and it is just that, very clean and simple ideas when you either don't have a lot of time for details, or just like this one, want to do something simple. I used the Time Well Spent stamp set, with Color Box orange ink, Old Olive and Close to Cocoa. I'm not sure what the orange paper is called, so I'll just call it what it is - orange - and then some Wild Wasabi together with a little off white and a scrap of yellow. The center of the flower is one of the wedding confetti flowers from Michael's with a random button (not Neal's) and then 6 mini orange brads. The sentiment I typed and printed out on my computer.

It's Wednesday already, so that's good, I'm still not feeling the greatest, not sure what's up. I didn't even make it thru Big Brother last nite because I fell asleep on the couch. It's on again tonite, so I'm sure I'll get caught up quickly. When you need sleep, I guess you need sleep. I did have some bazaar dreams last nite, so I know that I slept soundly anyway.

It's actually a pleasant morning outside here today. Not too crazy hot right now. Not sure what the day will bring, probably around the 100 mark again. Once it's over 100, who's counting?!

I've got some new music loaded onto my iPod to listen to today, so that should keep me motivated a little bit. No scheduled meetings to deal with, so it should be an easy breezy kind of day (fingers crossed).

Last nite we had a recipe from the Pioneer Woman Cooks. She has such an entertaining site, and so funny. We made the Marlboro Man's Second Favorite Sandwich. It was chicken, we grilled it, and then you put bacon on top of it and melt cheese on top of that and put it on some grilled buns. It was really good, not on my diet, but what the heck! Check out her site, for more awesome recipes.

Have a great day!

Peace and luv,

Hey there, the layout for this one I was inspired by a card done by Melissa Phillips on LilyBean's Paperie - she has such awesome stuff! The Paper is Plum Blossoms from Deja Views. The little purple note paper is from that I printed out on my computer, the stamps are the Carte Postale set, ink is Close to Cocoa and the bird is Bravo Burgundy. The ribbon is Midtown Brown 6 from American Crafts. The scallop circle is Purely Pomegranate paper with lace stickles and then prisma glitter on top of that. Pop-dots and some rhinestones and I did some faux stitching around the pink and then used the white signo pen for the stitching.

Not much going on in my little corner of the world, not really feeling great these last couple of days, so I'm not sure what that's about. Just want to feel better. I'm going to work, so I hope the day goes by without a hitch and I can just go home and rest some more.

Have a great day!

Peace and Luv,

It's Monday - yuk! Anyway, just back to the basics of a simple card with a little doggie on it that reminds me of my Dixie. The picture of her is after the kids went home and she sure was tuckered out. The stamp is an oldie but cutie from the A Little Love set from Stampin' Up with some Bazzill papers and some brown bag paper that I love working with. The envelope is also brown bag. Not sure where I got the paw print stamp, there's no name on it. Then I just tied it all up with a little ribbon. Sweet and simple, like I hope your Monday will be.

Like Dixie, I'm wore out too from running and playing with the kids, but we had a great weekend and everybody had a good time.
Can't wait to go home and get some work done on some more cards tonite. Not working on any over the weekend, I think I'm having withdrawals or something!

Take care -

Peace and Luv -

Happy Friday! This card with its "relax" theme is just what the weekend should be about, so I thought it would be a good Friday card. I used Bazzill scraps, the white flowered textured paper I'm not sure who makes it, but it's from Michael's. The dragonfly large image is from that I printed out and pop-dotted. I also used my white signo pen, some ribbon and cording and a few rhinestones.

I don't have any real plans for the weekend, just hanging out with Neal and the kids. They are at mudmania right now which is an obstacle course that the kids can run around in that's filled with mud. I got a text message picture already from them, and they are ready to throw into the shower!

Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!

Peace and luv -
Hi there - I have no card for you today!! That's because I went out last nite for a few adult beverages with friends and so I thought I'd post something anyway and so it's a picture of Neal's bike on the side of our house that the weeds have taken a liking to. Can you tell that he hadn't used it in awhile?! Anyway, he did build an awesome little grill area for himself right there so he took a picture of the bike before he had to move it. I'll have to get a picture of what it looks like now for ya. The picture looks like it's cut off on the lower left corner, but it's really a part of the table that was there. It's sort of a bad angle.

Anyway, the other picture is of my baby girl Dixie and to me it looks like she's laughing hysterically, so I thought I could maybe put a smile on anybody's face who may need it today just by looking at her. She's so silly.........

Well I will be home tonite, so I'm not sure what may trigger my imagination to respresent what I may create tonite, but it's early in the day and we'll see what kind of inspiration it brings me.

Have a good one!

Much Peace and luv,

So while I was organizing I found a bunch of old stickers and embellishments and stuff and so I came up with this card, which makes me now totally want to be on a beach somewhere! The flip flop sticker and sentiment are from Cloud 9 - The Wood Stone Collection - called The Tropics. The dragonfly stamp is from Stampendous and is called Dragonfly Window (I just cut out the dragonfly from it). I used Staz On Black ink. Then I tore some of the blue paper to make it look kinda like waves. I added some sheer ribbon, a Prisma flower with a Neal button (like how I named them?) and pop-dotted the dragonflies and the sticker.

Last nite we tried Mexican grilled pizza, and it would have been great except that the crust kinda burned. Oh well - it was still pretty good, and we'll have to try it again sometime.

It's Tuesday morning, I've got my first cup of french vanilla coffee in front of me and I'm trying to get with it here, but it may take more than one cup today. It's starting out to be a busy day, which is good - it keeps me out of trouble!

Peace and luv -

Hello there and I hope that you all had a great weekend. Mine was great, just did lots of running around and shopping and catching up on tv shows and I did get some organizing done of my work area, which is awesome! This card is done with all Daisy D papers, the stamp is from Inque Boutique-What a Feeling with Bravo Burgundy ink. I did some faux stitching, added some ribbon and the cute little buttons on the bottom are actually brads. I did a lot of distressing around everything with Color Box Brown.

It's Monday, and as much as I do not want to be at work today, I'm going to try and stay positive about it and hope the day goes by without too much wierdness and look forward to being home with my sweetie tonite.

Last nite was another fast but unique supper on the grill that we came up with. Neal grilled some boneless, skinless chicken breasts, a few minutes on one side and then flipped it and put some tomato sauce and parmesean cheese on it and gave it another 5or so minutes. It was kind of like chicken parmesean without the breading and of course tasted oh so good being grilled. We had an Italian salad and some garlic rolls with it - oh so good!

Did you catch the new Big Brother last nite? Well seeing as how it's on 3 times a week now, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, it's a huge commitment, but where would I be without tivo?? There are some annoying people on it, as usual, but it's good evening entertainment.

Have you ever had your toenails painted by your significant other? I did last nite, so so sweet! Loved it! The color is new from OPI called - I am not a Waitress. Too fun!!

Have a great day -

Peace and Luv -

I cannot even explain to you how happy I am that it is FRIDAY!!!!! Hopefully this card proves it, because flowers always make me happy. This layout idea is from LilyBean's Paperie. You know how some cards you make and you sit back and look at it and think well it's just ok and then some you are really happy with? Well I have to say I really like this one. The paper is from K&Company's Wild Saffron paper set. Then I used a Prisma flower with one of my crocheted flowers, some yarn, 2 little brads and one big pearl brad and a little bit of ribbon. I used the postage stamp scissors to make the tiny scallop edge and then faux stitched around a couple of times and used a brown colored pencil. Then I went to town distressing it with some brown Color Box ink. I even put some on the flower and the white pearl brad. No stamps were used again, but I didn't think it needed anything more.

I think we'll go for a fish fry tonite at the local pub, and then the weekend will be full of running around doing errands and shopping. Maybe get a movie in too, tho not sure what's new out right now that I'd like.

My little baby girl Dixie is at Neal's kids house this morning. The kids really luv her and like to play with her and they may go puppy shopping this weekend, so that will be fun for them. I'm sure she's a little freaked out right now, but Neal did just send me a picture from his phone so I know she's ok. She'll be wore out tonite tho, that's for sure. No boring day for her!

We did get rain last nite, it was very, very cool. Thunder and lightning and all that good stuff. It's still a bit overcast and cloudy right now, but will go up to the high 90's by the end of the day. With all of that rain I sure was hoping my window here at work would have gotten hit by some of it to get rid of the bird poop - but no! Oh well - it's FRIDAY so I can put up with a lot knowing that in a few short hours I get to be with my 2 favorite people in the whole wide world for 2 days (Neal and Dixie that is!!).

Have an awesome day!

Peace and much luv -
Happy Thursday and welcome to today's card that I will call Dragonfly Wonderland! This layout I got from CPS or Card Positioning Systems, they have an awesome blog. This idea is from July 3rd - CPS #71 - Part 3 and was designed by Melissa Phillips. Of course I used dragonflies instead of butterflies like she did. Anyway, just went thru my scrap bin, I know that the orangey pink floral is from Pocket Full of Posies, but that's about all I can name. The stamp is from katie&co and I used Blue Bayou ink, and the ribbon is from Michael's. I used a small cosmo flower punch, 3 small silver brads and the xoxo metal tag is from Joann's. I also did some faux stitching using the mat from Stampin' Up and then used my favorite white Signo pen, and of course another button from Neal's shirt (hee, hee). I really need to do some organizing of my craft stuff - I can't find anything right now!! I also plan on finding the new Hobby Lobby this weekend that just opened here. I used to spend some money at the one in Denver all the time, and I hear that they carry Copic pens which I haven't ventured into yet. I figure I might buy a couple and see what all of the hoopla is about them that I keep reading about on other blogs. They're expensive, so I'll probably like them - you know how that goes!

Thank goodness it's Thursday. This has been the longest working week of my life I think! Not sure why, just not too busy and that doesn't help the day go by quickly which means I'm bored. Hopefully today will bring something new and wonderful - (sarcastic hee, hee). A girl can dream - if only they wouldn't mind if I stamped at my desk!

Last nite Neal and I made (well mostly Neal) a beef stir-fry/chow mein dinner. Boy was it good! He took a couple of tri-tip steaks and marinated them in soy sauce and garlic and salt and pepper and then grilled them, so they had this really cool crispy coating on the outside. Then he brought them in and sliced them up real thin like and we put them in a pot with a frozen bag of asian veggies and a little water until the veggies were tender. Then we added a little cornstarch to thicken it up and ate it over chow mein noodles - yum, yum!! Gotta try it with chicken next time too, or pork.

By the way, I came into work this morning and a bird did his business hugely on my window!!! I hope this isn't bad karma for the day???!!!!

Peace and luv, luv, luv,

I think I'll call this one Perfectly Pretty Purple Hi, since I used the Stampin' Around Perfectly Pretty stamp for the background. At least I think that's what it's called, not sure. Anyway, I used Wild Wasabi ink and then put the Wild Wasabi cardstock behind it and dotted a border with my white Signo pen. The background behind that is from Flavia as are the round letters, and then I used a dark, dark purple behind that, which I also used a scrap of to wrap around the middle and behind the ribbon. The ribbon is from Michael's. The flowers are Prima, and I put a rhinestone purple and silver brad in the middle of them.

It's Wednesday, and it's been a long work week already. I suppose because it was a long weekend. Yesterday was a bit chaotic and wierd, so I hope today goes a bit better.

Another hot one here in AZ, as usual for this time of year. It's a bit cloudy right now, so maybe some rain today (?)

I need to make some cards tonite for some friends going thru some health issues. Not sure if I should just go the thinking of you route, or what. I'd like to keep it lite, but not that I'm thinking it's funny, if you know what I mean. Kind of a tough one - so I could use a suggestion or two.

Have a great day!

Peace and luv,
Hi there and Happy Tuesday. The layout of this card was inspired by Debbie Olson at Thinking Inking. I absolutely luv her stuff! I was making it last nite while watching the end of the Bachelorette, so of course it had to have a heart on it. I'm such a sap for a happily ever after story! Anyway, the paper, ribbon and stamp are from Target. I used fiskars flower border punch, oval scallop punch and a heart die cut from Sizzix and then added a button, (that I took off of one of Neal's shirts because I couldn't find my box - hee, hee)....

It's going to be a toasty 109 here in Phoenix today, but may rain later this afternoon. That would be nice to see.

Let's see, what's on tonite....Beauty and the Geek I think and I've got a Design Star on Tivo to catch up with too.

Take care and have a great day!

Peace and luv -

This is a card that I decided to redo. As you can see, I used my Signo white dot maker, added some half squares to the top, changed the square love to a circle and added the circle scallop behind it, and then added a bunch of dragonfly punch outs. Too many dragonflies? Never!! I think it gives it a softer and more feminine look now. The center is actually fabric.

I hope everyone had a fun day yesterday, we had my sweetie's siblings over and of course we have the kids this weekend, so it was time in the pool and bbq and fireworks. We had a great day and I hope you did too.

Neal is off trying to fix his brothers car right now, and tonite it's just chicken on the grill and a movie.

Peace and luv,

P.S. A special thank you to Shawn for all of your great comments - they are very much appreciated!

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday everybody!!!!

Peace and much luv!!!!!

It's Elvis day! This picture did not turn out at all as bright as this card truly is, but that's the way it goes I guess. I had more fun with my new Signo pen, as you can see too. So this is basically a flat background and then the center represents a record or LP as they are sometimes called which opens up. There is actually black, purple and bright blue cardstock with bright yellow stars. I used the star stamp from the Fun & Fast notes set, a small star punch, some silver glitter ribbon and typed up the sentiment on the computer. Of course you know that the inside (see below) HAS to say thank you very much!!!!

This was the hardest star on Hollywood Blvd. to find! We had a printout of where all of the stars could be found and so Elvis was listed at an address that we went to, but then it listed a landmark that it was under that didn't make sense. So we had to ask someone and of course it was about another 4-5 blocks from where we already were. But it was worth it, and I'm glad we found it. The picture of my niece Traci and I with Elvis was in front of a restaurant storefront.

Happy Thursday to you! Peace and luv!!
