Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Our sponsor today is Di's Digi Downloads, which is where Cousin Carlie here is from. Isn't she just lovely? I truly enjoyed working with her and it took me quite awhile to get everything just the way that I wanted it. I was going for Bohemian magical, so how did I do? All of the cardstocks are actually from a winter set of cards from Joann's from last year. So I took one card, and then took probably 3 or 4 others and cut them all apart. Since they all coordinate, it was like working with a small stack really. I colored her in and then put some glitter on her collar, the bow around her dress and the bow in her hair. She's sitting in some faux "snow", and the snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch with some added rhinestones. The ribbon is from a local scrapbook shop, there's some dragonfly brads, and she's popped up just a little bit.

So remember I told you on Monday that this is beautiful ladie's birthday week? Well today's card is for someone who's birthday is later in the week, but today is my good Iowa friend Carol Dee's birthday............HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL DEE!!!! I know it's all a bit confusing, but tomorrow you'll get to see Carol's card, and I so enjoyed making it too that I can't wait to show it to you! Working with new images/stamps can be so exciting!!

Well the sketch this week is another that you'll find so fun and easy to work with that you'll just have to join us for the chance to win 5 of Di's wonderful images for yourself. If you need some inspiration, well my fellow Design Team sistah's will not let you down. Head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and check them all out and you'll see what I mean!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Tuesday! This is a re-run if you're keeping real close track of me, but I needed to create another one for a friend's birthday. She certainly is a fun little gal, and anybody that likes shoes, or shoe shopping, is a winner in my book! The cardstocks are SU's Pretty in Pink and Rose Red, and the DP is from Basic Grey. The image is from Pink Petticoat and then there's the usual ribbon and rhinestones since it wouldn't be complete card without them, ya?!

Have a great Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Monday! Well it's a week of beautiful ladies' birthdays! This one is for my niece who has just grown up so quickly I can hardly stand it. The stamp I used is from Sweet Pea Stamps. The base of the card is kraft paper, with some lite orchid Bazill and one of the papers from SU's Blueberry Crisp set. The edges were distressed, I added some pretty sheer blue ribbon and some rhinestones. The main image is popped up. I love this image and she's just as beautiful my niece is.

I hope your Monday is a magical one, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Friday! Do you have your shopping shoes on? It's the start of the holiday shopping season and today I'm showing you another one of the projects that we learned to make last weekend. This one is also very pretty on the outside, but the exciting part is what is on the inside......
.......it's a DVD and microwave popcorn bag holder! Isn't this just the perfect way to give this kind of gift to someone? I love it! Can you see what movie I pulled out of the cabinet to put in here for a model...Titanic...a fav of mine! All of the supplies and the design for this are that of our instructor Leslie.

Have a terrific Friday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today I have for you 2 of the 8 place cards that I made for a friend of mine. She's got family coming in from Chicago and asked if I'd make some for her. What I decided to do was take one of the Spellbinders dies from the Labels Eight set and fold it in half. I printed all of the names out, then cut them out and stamped them with the turkey which is from Heartfelt Creations and then I distressed the edges. From there, it's just lots of layers of colored cardstock, some pretty sheer ribbon and rhinestones. So then when all of the place cards were done, I thought well everybody's going to be looking at the backs of them and they're all blank. So I decided to put 8 different Thanksgiving verses on the backs for some fun and interest. I was nervous about them, but she loved them, and I'm very happy about that!

I hope you're having a great Turkey Day and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!
Jeannie

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's sponsor of Sketch 77 is Bugaboo Stamps and I just love all of the wonderful images! I used some DCWV's Christmas Stack papers, and there is actually some green glitter paper underneath the second layer and it's all sparkly and fun! Sorry it doesn't show so much here. The ribbon is just from the old stash and this Santa looks like he's already busy filling some stockings!

Be sure to check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team gals and join us for the chance to win some of these fabulous images!

Only one more day til Turkey Day...are you ready?

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Tuesday!! Remember I told you that I was taking a project class over the weekend with the gals? This is one of the 5 projects that we made in 3 hours and it's the cutest darn thing! We met up with this great designer at a craft faire we went to and we thought it would be a fun time for us to learn some new things. Since I'm leaving today and traveling for the holiday, I am going to post ahead so that you'll have something to look at this week, and I thought I'd start with this one. It's cute as can be on the outside, but then when you open it up..............

......it's a gift planner! The center holds a little bag for receipts, and below you can write in the gifts you've gotten for everyone. Very cute right?! Thanks Leslie for your time and patience, and to Ronah for your hospitality! We always have such a great time when we get together, and this was no exception!

Have an awesome Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Hi and Happy Monday! This card is for a gal who I currently work with who's leaving and moving to California for a new job and lots of new adventures. I used a Pink Petticoat image and DCWV's Garden Party stack papers and added some ribbon, rhinestones, and then cut out a butterfly from another one of the papers and added that too. She has a Prisma glitter necklace and hair tie, this kinda looks like her, and I hope she likes it.

Can you believe it's Thanksgiving week already?! What?! Yikes, I am so not ready. Well I've got to get my butt in gear today, because I'll be getting on an airplane tomorrow, so off I go....

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Yippeee....Hoppy Friday!! Instead of something quick and thrown together like I usually have on Friday, I actually had some time to bring something new to you today! This is a Pink Petticoat image, and I just think she's adorable. The papers are more Basic Grey, along with some SU cardstocks; So Saffron and Not Quite Navy. The twill bow and flower are CTMH, and yes I do think that Stampin' Up and Close to my Heart play well together! It does help to have friends who sell both. What else can I tell you - I added a pretty blue pearl in the center of the flower, and the main image is popped up. Voila!

I've got another busy and crafty weekend to look forward to. Saturday is another SU par-tay, and Sunday we're getting together and taking a class making 6 different fun things. Of course I will play show and tell as much as I can anyway before the holiday. I will be gone Tuesday through Friday, but I'll try and post ahead of time so you have something to look at.

My meds have kicked in pretty good and I'm starting to feel better. I really don't want to fly with an ear infection, ya know?! My computer is close to being all better too (fingers crossed). Sorry for the dark pic. I thought it looked pretty good but now that I see it live it doesn't look too great to me. Using someone elses computer is deceiving.

I hope you've had a great week and that your Friday will be a "hoppy" one...hehe!!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hi all and Happy Thursday! I've just got a quick guy card for you today, but one that I like enough to share here with you anyway. I used some Basic Grey papers, another Fiskars scissor that I just got for a quarter at a yard sale (!), a little silver brad and doodad thingy, and some black grosgrain ribbon. I also smudged up the edges of the sentiment a little bit too, and that's about it. One thing you can say is that guy cards are pretty quick if you kinda have something in mind anyway.

Well my computer has been resurrected, except for the internet, which is the last thing that isn't working yet. I'm not back to myself yet either, so I went to the doc and I got some meds for an ear and sinus infection. It's supposedly a full dose of antibiotics in 5 days. Since I'm getting on an airplane next week, let's hope it works!

Have a great Thursday and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!
Jeannie
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's sponsor is a fav.... DigiStamp Boutique! This gal's name is Liddie, and she is one of the Lil Poppets. The cardstocks that I used are Soft Suede and Brilliant Blue, and the DP's are from Basic Grey. I used a Fiskars scissor for the scallop border and then tied on some pretty green ribbon.

My computer and I still have a bug, so I'm doing my best to adapt here. I"m lucky I found these downloads to get today's post posted. It's hard using someone elses computer, that's for sure.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the fantastic Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team gals have created and you are sure to be inspired...I always am!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Monday! My computer has a bug and so do I! I know how I got mine (kids), but my computer, who knows! I've got my own personal computer repairman who's working on it, but it's a bad one. Thankfully we have a few computers in the house, so I'll have to do my best to get everything done that I can. This card is another from our Stampin' Up par-tay, that our wonderful demonstrator Jan designed, and I just think it has that very simple but elegant feel to it. All products are Stampin' Up, of course, and can be found in the latest catalog.

Have a great Monday, thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Paper Play Challenges Thursday! Are you ready for some ribbon, lace and flowers? Well I hope so, because that's what the challenge is this week. I think I covered all 3 with this non-traditional holiday card, ya?

Do you remember me telling you that I spent way too much time (and money) last Saturday at a rubber stamp convention?....well this flower is the result of a trio of flower stamps from Heartfelt Creations. They are so smart that they created stamps that fit exactly with the Spellbinder's die cuts! Now why didn't I think of something like that?! Anyway, watching the demonstration and seeing all of the beautiful things on display there made it very hard to decide which one I wanted. I decided on this one, called Vintage Wildflower, which matches the Peony Nestabilitie.

I used some of my favorite SU cardstocks; Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Groovy Guava. I stamped the flower with Groovy Guava ink and once I assembled it, dipped it in some glue and then Prisma glitter. It's actually too bad that the glue dries clear, because when it was still wet it was white and looked like snow. The DP is from Basic Grey, the curio paper pad. Then, as you can see, I tied some vanilla grosgrain ribbon on with a bow, added some pretty lace, added some small rhinestones, and a big pretty pearl brad. This card uses the Mojo Monday sketch this week.

The rest of the Design Team have created some cards that you won't want to miss seeing, so pop on over to Paper Play Challenges and check them all out and join us. I want to see some of your ribbon, lace and flowers!

Have a beautiful Thursday, and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and you're ready for the week ahead. I had a very crafty weekend, starting off with a craft yard sale Saturday morning and some shopping. Then we had a Stampin' Up par-tay, which is where this great card was made. Our demo Jan always comes up with fun things to make, and this one really was super fun. All products (except for the Skittles) are Stampin' Up and can be found in the most recent catalog. If you don't have one, let me know!

Sunday was a Rubber Stamp show at a convention center here, and there were lots of demonstrations of new products and it's always great to see some of the new products out there. My wallet is a little lighter today, but we really had a good time together too!

Thanks for visiting and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Hi there and Happy Friday!!! I don't have a card for you today, but I've got a pic of some gorgeous roses that I received at work this week. It's always nice to know that you did a good job, at least that is what one of our board members thought, so hooray for me! It's not the best pic, as it's from my cell phone, but since I didn't have anything else to share with you today, I thought these were a good alternative.

I hope you have a beautiful Friday and a fantastic weekend! Take care!!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is proud to sponsor this challenge!! This Santa is one of the fun images you will find there and I chose to brighten up Santa a bit today. I colored him in with some bright green to match the green presents on the ribbon. The papers are more from that giant Christmas Stack that I acquired that I swear I'll never use all of it! There's also some SU cardstock; Orchid Opulence and Pixie Pink. I'm not sure where I got the ribbon, it's been around awhile, but I do like the colors. The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch (I finally used it Carol Dee!!). The fur on Santa's outfit was made using some popcorn markers that you heat up. I got them from a fellow blogger when she lived in Korea, so I don't know that they are available here, but I'm sure there's probably something like it.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers,
designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or digital paper sets of their choice.

Be sure to check out the rest of the creations from the gorgeous Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team, and join us!!

Have a very, very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Hi and Happy Tuesday! I've got another candle card as I call them, but this time it's for Christmas. I used one of the sweet and cute little images from Pink Petticoat, and some SU Dusty Durango cardstock. The snowflake paper is from DCWV's Christmas Stack, Ikea candles and some sheer blue ribbon. There's also Prisma glitter for the snow. I just whipped up 10 of these babies, different colors and papers, for a craft fair coming up for the auxiliary ladies at work. They are really fun and easy to make, and who could say no to this cute little penguin!

Have an awesome Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Happy Monday!! Today it's a card for Paper Sundaes Challenge #42 that's "All about the Boys." It's perfect timing since I needed to make another card for work anyway! I also used the sketch from Card Patterns: Sketch 88. The papers are all from CTMH's Simple Pleasures paper packet, combined with some brown square brads, ribbon and twine.

I hope you have a great Monday, thanks for stopping by, and take care!!
