Just a couple of little guy cards for you today, but what can I say - I have to throw some of them in every now and again to see if you're paying attention!

These are based off of Mojo Monday's sketch last week.  Remember how I told you the other day that I made several cards using old challenges thinking I was working with the current one?...this is one of them.

Oh well, it got me doing something different anyway, ya?!

The papers are from DCWV's All Dressed Up stack.

Happy New Year's Eve-Eve...hehe!

Peace & Luv,

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday!! I bet you can guess who our sponsor is this week right?.....Bugaboo Stamps!!!  Don't you just love, love, love the funny things that Jodie comes up with?  This gal cracks me up I tell ya. This card is a sure bet for my sissy, who doesn't quite care for this particular holiday of love.  I think she'll enjoy it the most.

The sketch this week, as always, is just pure fun to work with as I'm sure you'll agree when you join us this week because the prize is...7 digi stamps that value $21!!  As a reminder tho, you need to leave some love with a comment when you enter your creation to be eligible.  Deal?  Don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Team Diva's creations and leave us some love too, we love hearing from you!

I mostly just used some Stampin' Up cardstock; Blush Blossom, Real Red, and Pixie Pink.  The two DP's used are from Making Memories, the Vintage Hip Collection.  The ribbon is from Michael's Christmas last year.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

                  Peace & Luv,

Today's card is for my niece and her husband's first anniversary.  This stamp set is from Studio G, and of course I couldn't just leave it alone, but had to add some black outlining to it.  Other than that, it's some textured Bazzill , a bit of Stampin' Up's Wild Wasabi cardstock, some pretty pink polka dot grosgrain, and then a tiny heart in the middle made with a little punch.

Peace & Luv,
It's Monday Girlfriend....did ya have a good holiday?  I thought I'd do a card with a purse on it, even tho it's probably empty....hehehe!!  I know mine is!

Have you ever made a card according to a sketch challenge, and then realized that it's a challenge that is already over?  Well that's what I did here, but I'm happy with the results anyway.

The image is from Pink Petticoat and the papers are from CTMH.  Then I just added some sheer brown ribbon, some Cappuccino twine with a heart charm, and a few pink rhinestones.  The image is popped up just a little bit.

                                             Peace & Luv,

Jolly Holidays to you! I bought this stamp awhile back and wanted to be sure to use it before the season was over. It's from Penny Black and it's a slapstick stamp called fancy antlers. I thought I'd buzz on over to their blog for some inspiration, and then I see that it's a challenge day, perfect right? The challenge which is a recipe, is to use 3 Papers, 1 Ribbon and 1 Charm. The base of the card is some more of that grainy and thick kraft paper that I love so much, and the DP's are from K & Company's Wild Saffron set from long ago.

Don't you just wonder what these two are saying to each other?

Have an awesome Holiday....Much Peace & Luv to you and yours!
A friend of mine sent me this poem and I thought I'd share it with you!
Enjoy ~

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Merry Christmas To My Female Friends

If I were ol' Santa, you know what I'd do
I'd dump silly gifts that are given to you
And deliver some things just inside your front door
Things you have lost, but treasured before.

I'd give you back all your maidenly vigor,
And to go along with it, a neat tiny figure.
Then restore the old color that once graced your hair
Before rinses and bleaches took residence there.

I'd bring back the shape with which you were gifted
So things now suspended need not be uplifted.
I'd draw in your tummy and smooth down your back
Till you'd be a dream in those tight-fitting slacks.

I'd remove all your wrinkles and leave only one chin
So you wouldn't spend hours rubbing grease on your skin
You'd never have flashes or queer dizzy spells
And you wouldn't hear noises like ringing of bells.

No sore aching feet and no corns on your toes
No searching for spectacles when they're right on your nose
Not a shot would you take in your arm, hip or fanny
From a doctor who thinks you're a nervous old granny.

You'd never have a headache, so no pills would you take.
And no heating pad needed since your muscles won't ache.
Yes, if I were Santa, you'd never look stupid
You'd be a cute little chick with the romance of a cupid.

I'd give a lift to your heart when those wolves start to whistle
And the joys of your heart would be light as a thistle.
But alas! I'm not Santa. I'm simply just me
The matronest of matrons you ever did see.

I wish I could tell you all the symptoms I've got
But I'm due at my doctor's for an estrogen shot.
Even though we've grown older this wish is sincere

Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!
It's Thursday and it's Christmas Eve-Eve! This is a card that I made for my sissy using Stampin' Up's Concord Grape cardstock and ink. The poinsettia stamp is from Amuse and then I added some Prisma glitter around all of the edges of the petals and added a bunch of different sizes of champagne colored pearls in the center. The celebrate sentiment is from CTMH, and then I added some sheer and sparkly ribbon from Michael's. I hope she enjoys it, and that it gets there in time!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
It's Sweet Sketch Wednesday time!! Our special sponsor this week is Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs. This image is called Ice Skating Angel Cake and don't you just love her striped tights and scarf? I chose to use a couple of my favorite Stampin' Up colors together; Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise. There's Prisma glitter around the top of her skates and on the trim of her hat and coat, and then on the ice. I'm really not sure where the ribbon and flowers are from, but the brads I think I got from Oriental Trading.

The rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team Divas have come up with some awesome inspiration, so be sure to check them all out. Be sure to leave them some love, join us this week with your own creation, and you could win 3 of these fab images for yourself!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hello there! Another quick birthday card using some CTMH papers from the Grace set. Then I added some paper flowers with a rhinestone and silver brad, and some shimmery gold ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated and I also used a Fiskars border punch on the bottom. My inspiration comes from Who Is Tracy, who made a fab Christmas card with this layout.

I think Neal is going to put PhotoShop back on my computer now that he's off on winter break from school, so hopefully I can get some more appealing photos for you real soon. I wish I had more time to pretty up my blog too, I'm needing something fresh! Ideas?

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
My Blog needs some help!!
It's time for a serious overhaul girlfriends, but I'm not finding Blogger very friendly.
If you know of a tutorial, or are someone who likes to work with it and are willing to help me pretty it up, let me know....pretty pleeezzz!
Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Monday! This is a quick and simple little card for my nephew. The colors got distorted a bit, so I guess I'm still not getting this new photo program very well. Anyway, the little image is from Pink Petticoat, the papers are Stampin' Up's Glorious Green (I know it looks Teal!), and Riding Hood Red and then some grainy kraft paper that's really quite cool, and it's from Michael's. There's some Prisma glitter on the birdie's Santa hat and then I tied on some matching twine, and I promise you it really does match!

I hope you had a great weekend, and you're ready for a nice short holiday week!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Friday....we made it through the week hooray! I guess you can see who this card is for...Joan silly! The image is Pink Petticoat, the little bit of DP is from DCWV, and the cardstocks are Stampin' Up's Brocade Blue and So Saffron. The brown grosgrain ribbon is from CTMH, and there's some Prisma glitter on the cake. The flower is a punch and then I put a pearl in the center of it.

Have a great Friday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
It's Thursday and that means it's Friday-Eve! Yippee!! This is another project that we made recently that I thought I'd share with you. When you untie the bow the pull it up, there's a Chicken Noodle Cup-a-Soup packet inside...cute, ya?! The papers are all Stampin' Up, the chicken stamp has been my friend for quite some time now that I got in Michael's $1 bin. The sentiment is a stamp set from Stampin' Up. This would be a great little gift to take to a friend who's under the weather, or to tuck in your desk drawer to give to a co-worker who isn't feel real well. Thanks again Jan!

I hope your week is going well, thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! One of my favorite sponsors is back with us today...DigiStamp Boutique! This is where this beautiful gal is from and I just love her. I paper pieced her coat and her hat and then colored her in to match the Stampin' Up papers that I used. I can't remember the name of this set, but I'm down to just little bits and pieces of it. It was a favorite. The squiggly ribbon on the bottom is soft and kinda like a crinkly velvet, and then I added a big red button on top of it. The flowers are from CTMH, with some clear rhinestones in the centers.

This is another fun and fabulous sketch to work with and I hope you'll join us for the chance to win 6 digital images of your choice!

As always, be sure to check out the rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team divas creations as well!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hi and Happy Tuesday! As promised, this is one of the wonderful projects that we made this past weekend. The papers are from Stampin' Up's newsprint set, and then I used a Fiskars border punch on the paper in between the two different papers. Then I added a pretty flower with a pearl brad in the center, and tied on some wide grosgrain ribbon in what I call my Audrey Hepburn bow. The edges of the base were distressed.

I've seen lots of different versions of these notepads around blogland, but I love the vintage feel of this one, and these make great stocking stuffers too! Thanks again Jan!

Have a great Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hi and Happy Monday! I had a Stampin' Up par-tay over the weekend, and this is what I made as a party favor. It's not my original idea, I've seen a few versions around blogland and thought that it would be something different and fun. The cups and lids I just got from my grocery store and the ribbon is from Joann's. It has coffee beans and all kinds of different coffee wording on it. The image is from Bugaboo, and then inside I put a package of instant mocha cappuccino, some chocolate and a digital image. This would be a great idea for a gift card too. We had a great time, as we always do when we get together, and I'll be showing you a couple of the things we made throughout the week. Thanks Jan for all of your help in helping to make it great!

I hope your weekend was good and you're fired up for another great week! Thanks for visiting and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Thursday! This is my last creation as guest designer for Paper Play Challenges, and this week the challenge is to make a tag. I had gotten these new nesties and wanted to use them, and then when I saw these 2 different sizes this thought came to me right away. I should have used a lighter green, but all in all I think it turned out cute. I used the big SU Linen stamp to make them actually look like they were kinda knitted. The ink I used is SU's Purely Pomegranate and I also smudged up the edges. Then I just added a MS punch snowflake, put a rhinestone in the middle of it, added some glitter to it, and tied on some of this yummy baker's twine. The smaller mitten is popped up on top of the bigger one.

Thank you Sandie for your patience with me during my DT stint, I had a great time.

Thanks for peeking, have a great Thursday and take care!

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!
Jeannie
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's sponsor is Tiddly Inks and I'm using one of the Curly Q images called Bloom. Isn't she sweet? The papers are all from CTMH's Emporium paper packet and the flower is popped up, and then she is popped up on top of it. I also used a couple different ribbons; there's a blue woven type, and then a green satin bow.

The prize to one lucky winner this week is a $10 certificate to use as you wish in the store, and there are many, many things to choose from there!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team Divas have created, and be sure to join us. I can't wait to see what you create!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Hey there and Happy Tuesday to you! I actually was able to join the Mojo Monday challenge this week, and since I needed to do another couple of guy cards, thought that this sketch would work out well.

The base of the card is gray, the blue textured paper is from DCWV's Latte stack, and the plaid paper is from Basic Grey's Marjolaine paper pad. Not a bad masculine card I guess, ya?!

I made another one while I was at it, still using the gray base, but then added some brown papers all from the same stacks.

These pics didn't turn out too bad today. I'm still trying to work with Paint Shop Pro vs PhotoShop, so it's been a little bit of a learning curve for me.

I hope you're having a good week so far, I appreciate you stopping by, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hi and Happy Sunday evening or Monday, whenever it is you are here! Today I have for you a gift package that I put together with this card for a gift exchange over the weekend. The image is from Pink Petticoat, the snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch and the papers from the same winter card set I've talked about before. Sorry for the bad pics, but since my computer has had issues, I don't have PhotoShop on it anymore. I'm trying to work with what I have, but I'm not real happy with the results. At any rate, I decorated a candle to match and then got a pretty snowflake ornament and packaged it all up. It wasn't anything great, but I did the best I could.

I hope you had a great weekend, thanks so much for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Hello! Happy Friday and Happy Hanukkah to those of you who celebrate it! I was asked to make this card by the sweetest guy for his girlfriend. I knew the colors had to be purple, green and orange and that it needed a red rose on it, those were my instructions. Well, SU's new color pack had everything that I needed. Her name is so beautiful that I just had to use 2 rhinestones to dot the I's in her name. The rose is from Making Memories, the swirly die cuts from Sizzix, and the sentiment was cut out with a nestie. When I first showed it to him he got the biggest grin on his face, and said awwww. He told me today that she loved it, and that my friends is what it's all about!

I hope you have a fantastic Friday, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me again and I hope yours will be full of fun and sunshine too. Take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Well hello and Happy Thursday! As promised here is Carol Dee's birthday card....hopefully she's gotten the real deal in the mail by now maybe? Anyway, this is a stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps called Celestial Garden Fairy and I just adore her. I borrowed her from a friend of mine, who got it on a trip to San Diego where there's a great scrapbook shop that she told me about. I'm thinking I need to put it on my to do list in the very near future for a road trip. The papers are from SU's Raspberry Tart set, along with some Always Artichoke and kraft cardstock. Then I added some pretty pleated sheer polka dot ribbon, one of my own crocheted flowers and popped a button in the middle. There's also some Prisma glitter on the swirls around her. This is definately a fav!

Well that's going to do it for the ladies birthday cards this week, but tomorrow I'm going to show you my first Hanukkah card ever. It was a special order and really fun to do too.

Have an awesome Thursday and take care!

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!
Jeannie
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Our sponsor today is Di's Digi Downloads, which is where Cousin Carlie here is from. Isn't she just lovely? I truly enjoyed working with her and it took me quite awhile to get everything just the way that I wanted it. I was going for Bohemian magical, so how did I do? All of the cardstocks are actually from a winter set of cards from Joann's from last year. So I took one card, and then took probably 3 or 4 others and cut them all apart. Since they all coordinate, it was like working with a small stack really. I colored her in and then put some glitter on her collar, the bow around her dress and the bow in her hair. She's sitting in some faux "snow", and the snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch with some added rhinestones. The ribbon is from a local scrapbook shop, there's some dragonfly brads, and she's popped up just a little bit.

So remember I told you on Monday that this is beautiful ladie's birthday week? Well today's card is for someone who's birthday is later in the week, but today is my good Iowa friend Carol Dee's birthday............HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL DEE!!!! I know it's all a bit confusing, but tomorrow you'll get to see Carol's card, and I so enjoyed making it too that I can't wait to show it to you! Working with new images/stamps can be so exciting!!

Well the sketch this week is another that you'll find so fun and easy to work with that you'll just have to join us for the chance to win 5 of Di's wonderful images for yourself. If you need some inspiration, well my fellow Design Team sistah's will not let you down. Head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and check them all out and you'll see what I mean!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Tuesday! This is a re-run if you're keeping real close track of me, but I needed to create another one for a friend's birthday. She certainly is a fun little gal, and anybody that likes shoes, or shoe shopping, is a winner in my book! The cardstocks are SU's Pretty in Pink and Rose Red, and the DP is from Basic Grey. The image is from Pink Petticoat and then there's the usual ribbon and rhinestones since it wouldn't be complete card without them, ya?!

Have a great Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Monday! Well it's a week of beautiful ladies' birthdays! This one is for my niece who has just grown up so quickly I can hardly stand it. The stamp I used is from Sweet Pea Stamps. The base of the card is kraft paper, with some lite orchid Bazill and one of the papers from SU's Blueberry Crisp set. The edges were distressed, I added some pretty sheer blue ribbon and some rhinestones. The main image is popped up. I love this image and she's just as beautiful my niece is.

I hope your Monday is a magical one, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Friday! Do you have your shopping shoes on? It's the start of the holiday shopping season and today I'm showing you another one of the projects that we learned to make last weekend. This one is also very pretty on the outside, but the exciting part is what is on the inside......
.......it's a DVD and microwave popcorn bag holder! Isn't this just the perfect way to give this kind of gift to someone? I love it! Can you see what movie I pulled out of the cabinet to put in here for a model...Titanic...a fav of mine! All of the supplies and the design for this are that of our instructor Leslie.

Have a terrific Friday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today I have for you 2 of the 8 place cards that I made for a friend of mine. She's got family coming in from Chicago and asked if I'd make some for her. What I decided to do was take one of the Spellbinders dies from the Labels Eight set and fold it in half. I printed all of the names out, then cut them out and stamped them with the turkey which is from Heartfelt Creations and then I distressed the edges. From there, it's just lots of layers of colored cardstock, some pretty sheer ribbon and rhinestones. So then when all of the place cards were done, I thought well everybody's going to be looking at the backs of them and they're all blank. So I decided to put 8 different Thanksgiving verses on the backs for some fun and interest. I was nervous about them, but she loved them, and I'm very happy about that!

I hope you're having a great Turkey Day and take care!

Peace, Luv and Happy Friday-Eve!
Jeannie

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's sponsor of Sketch 77 is Bugaboo Stamps and I just love all of the wonderful images! I used some DCWV's Christmas Stack papers, and there is actually some green glitter paper underneath the second layer and it's all sparkly and fun! Sorry it doesn't show so much here. The ribbon is just from the old stash and this Santa looks like he's already busy filling some stockings!

Be sure to check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team gals and join us for the chance to win some of these fabulous images!

Only one more day til Turkey Day...are you ready?

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Happy Tuesday!! Remember I told you that I was taking a project class over the weekend with the gals? This is one of the 5 projects that we made in 3 hours and it's the cutest darn thing! We met up with this great designer at a craft faire we went to and we thought it would be a fun time for us to learn some new things. Since I'm leaving today and traveling for the holiday, I am going to post ahead so that you'll have something to look at this week, and I thought I'd start with this one. It's cute as can be on the outside, but then when you open it up..............

......it's a gift planner! The center holds a little bag for receipts, and below you can write in the gifts you've gotten for everyone. Very cute right?! Thanks Leslie for your time and patience, and to Ronah for your hospitality! We always have such a great time when we get together, and this was no exception!

Have an awesome Tuesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie

Hi and Happy Monday! This card is for a gal who I currently work with who's leaving and moving to California for a new job and lots of new adventures. I used a Pink Petticoat image and DCWV's Garden Party stack papers and added some ribbon, rhinestones, and then cut out a butterfly from another one of the papers and added that too. She has a Prisma glitter necklace and hair tie, this kinda looks like her, and I hope she likes it.

Can you believe it's Thanksgiving week already?! What?! Yikes, I am so not ready. Well I've got to get my butt in gear today, because I'll be getting on an airplane tomorrow, so off I go....

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
Yippeee....Hoppy Friday!! Instead of something quick and thrown together like I usually have on Friday, I actually had some time to bring something new to you today! This is a Pink Petticoat image, and I just think she's adorable. The papers are more Basic Grey, along with some SU cardstocks; So Saffron and Not Quite Navy. The twill bow and flower are CTMH, and yes I do think that Stampin' Up and Close to my Heart play well together! It does help to have friends who sell both. What else can I tell you - I added a pretty blue pearl in the center of the flower, and the main image is popped up. Voila!

I've got another busy and crafty weekend to look forward to. Saturday is another SU par-tay, and Sunday we're getting together and taking a class making 6 different fun things. Of course I will play show and tell as much as I can anyway before the holiday. I will be gone Tuesday through Friday, but I'll try and post ahead of time so you have something to look at.

My meds have kicked in pretty good and I'm starting to feel better. I really don't want to fly with an ear infection, ya know?! My computer is close to being all better too (fingers crossed). Sorry for the dark pic. I thought it looked pretty good but now that I see it live it doesn't look too great to me. Using someone elses computer is deceiving.

I hope you've had a great week and that your Friday will be a "hoppy" one...hehe!!

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
