I haven't done one of the gals in awhile, so here's a fun one for you. The cardstock is Garden Green (not a fav but gotta use it), Not Quite Navy and More Mustard. All from the Earth Elements collection and I used the same markers to color, along with a couple of others. The DP is from Memory Boutique. The die cuts, top note and button flower, are Sizzix. I also used a Fiskars small scallop scissor and little hole punch, some twine and pop-dots and there you have it.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here this week, even a little above average in the high 70's - low 80's. I'm just excited about being able to wear my flip-flops is all! Ya gotta luv that!

We have the kids this weekend, not sure what we'll do with them that's on the cheap anyway, but we'll figure something out. Neal's sister is back in hospice, but she had a pretty good day today, so that's just an hour by hour watch.

Tonight we're having bbq chicken on the grill, the kids luv Stove Top stuffing, some corn and some biscuits and we'll probably just settle in with a movie or something.

I do hope you have a great weekend ahead of you, and if you're visiting the first time or just getting your daily dose of inspiration (hopefully), please leave me a comment. I luv to hear what you're up to!

Peace and Luv,
You're just too good to be true....can't take my eyes off of you....awwww.....such an adorable stamp!!! I first saw this on Jenny aka One Krafty Kat's blog and it was another one that I had to have. It's from AAARubberStamps.com and I got it at Addicted to Stamps.com. I used for cardstock, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, black and cream. I used Jan's top note die cutter last Saturday and made a bunch of these - thanks again Jan! Other than that, I colored with some markers, added some Michael's ribbon, a couple of heart brads and some pop-dots. The DP is Daisy D's. The font is pussycat...hehe!!

Hope your Friday-Eve is/was great!!

Peace and Luv,
Today's creation is for Splitcoaststampers challenge SC217. This is also a new stamp that I hadn't used yet from Penny Black. I feel guilty for spending the money that I did on all of this new stuff now before I got laid off. Still, it's fun to get something in the mail. The stamp actually has a butterfly on the puppy's tail. The dog reminds me of my Dixie, so you know I had to get it. The cardstock is Baja Breeze, sunflower, cream, and the DP is from K&Company's Berry Sweet line. I used a scallop scissor, a tiny hole punch, a small dragonfly punch, ric-rac, crochet thread and rhinestones. Mine is just a little card, but this is a great layout and there are really some fabulous things done with it on the splitcoast gallery.

I went to the library today and got some music to download and the place was packed for a Wednesday afternoon. I guess I'm not the only one without a job and looking for some free entertainment. The computer area actually has a sign up sheet for you to rent an hour at a time. Crazy stuff.

It's 6:30ish, Neal's at nite school til 9, and I think the only thing on is Idol. I think they're down to the final 12, but I'm not sure. I don't usually tune in until all of the crazy auditions are over. Oh ya, Top Chef is on later tonite too - go Carla!!!

Peace and Luv,

Since me and my bunny slippers have become such close friends the last couple of days, and I just got this stamp, it seemed an obvious reason to make this card today. The stamp is from Stampendous and the DP is from K&Company's Berry Sweet line. The cardstock is Purely Pomegranate, sunflower and cream. I used some Rose colored Colorbox Chalk, as well as Purely Pomegranate ink. I also used Copic's E00 marker. The ribbons are Offray and the pearl heart was made using shaped sticky tape and then just sort of dipping it into the little pearls.

This is for the February challenge of a sour cream container at Pink Petticoat. I'm always talking about Liz's site, her images that download beautifully and are so much fun to work with. This bird you've seen before because I use it quite often. The striped paper is also from her. This challenge goes until the end of the month, which is just a few more days, so join if you have time!

Speaking of challenges......Shirley's 2 Girls remember had the "go green" challenge that I showed you a pic of a couple days ago of the small button box I made? Well....I WON!!!! I was one of 3 and I won some credit towards their products! This is the first thing I've won in this crazy blogworld we're in, and I'm so glad that it is with someone who's products I luv so much. Can't wait to get my stuff so I can play! Do check out their blog!! I have an image on my sidebar of a gal with a little dog which is a new stamp not out yet, but is soon to come and I can't wait!

I'm feeling a little better tonite. I laid around all day. I did rent Mamma Mia! finally, since Neal did not have any desire to watch it and I luved it!!! I'm sure a lot of you have seen it by now, but it was a light and happy and fun movie, and if you haven't seen it, you should. Especially if you like Abba music!

It's Tuesday nite already as I post this, so I'm not sure many of you will see it anymore today, but thanks for visiting and for the great comments. You give me the push I need to keep creating and doing what I luv so much!

Peace and Luv,

Hey there! This is a gift card and holder made out of an envelope that our Stampin' Up gal Jan showed us how to do on Saturday. Is it not georgeous?!! I luv the colors she came up with, and altho I've seen this project done before I have to say her design is the best I've seen so far. I am seriously thinking I need that vine stamp. It could be used so many different ways! I do know we used the following stamp sets: Polka Dot Punches (big flowers), Yummy (sentiment), and Fresh Cuts (vine and small flower). The green leaves are a sizzix die-cut. The punches used are: oval, 5-petal flower, the slit punch to hold the gift card, and also a corner rounder. Then some brown grosgrain ribbon.

Next is a card that Jan made that I didn't even see until I got home. I won a package of some chipboard shapes and this was inside. Another gorgeous idea! The center of the flower has some beautiful tiny beads in it! Thanks again Jan - I had a great time on Saturday!

And yet another amazing card that I didn't make!! This one is from my blogger friend Shawn! Can't thank you enough Shawn! Luv these springy colors and John Lennon! You're the best!

So I guess it's a good thing I can lay on the couch and eat bon-bon's today (ya right), because I've got the crud again!! I think Neal and I are just passing it back and forth at this point! You name it; runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, coughing, I got it! I will continue to pace the floor today and see if I get any calls about any of the dozens of resumes I've sent out, but I don't think I'm going to sound real professional on the phone if they do!

Well I hope you have a great day - thanks for stopping by and leave me a little bit of luv before you go!!

Peace and much Luv to you!
Today I have a quad of birthday cards for you! I needed to get some cards back into my own stock, so these cupcakes are from Pink Petticoat. All of the DP's are Pocket Full of Posies, and then I just went thru my scraps and matched up what I could after I colored them in with markers. Ribbons, rhinestones, some punches, the mat stack for for faux stiching and pop-dots and that's about it. Let me know which one is your favorite.

Last nite we decided to use some of our Phoenix Coyotes hockey tickets that we've had laying around, but then when we got there at the door one of the ticket people had a couple of free tickets. We took them and decided to keep our others for another time, since there is no specified date on them. The package that we have are tickets that can be used whenever there are open seats throughout the season. We had a great time, I'd not been to this area of Glendale, and Phoenix won on top of it!
It's Friday already. Not a real prosperous week for me for sure, but what can you do? Tomorrow I have a Stampin' Up card party to go to in the afternoon, so I'll be sure to post what we make next week. Sunday there's another free outdoor art fair in Fountain Hills that I'll see if I can talk Neal into. That's usually not too hard, unless he has grading or something to do. I'll take some pics if we do go and hopefully I won't get yelled at by any artists again!

I do hope you have a great weekend whatever it is your plans are. Thanks for visiting, don't forget to leave a comment - they are very much appreciated!

Peace and Luv,

Hello and go green! This little gift box is for a go green contest at the Shirley's 2 Girls blog. They are new, and I'd luv the chance to win credit towards some of their stamps. The 22nd is the deadline, so head on over with your creation! They provide the template, and then the paper I used is from K&Company. Then I just punched my little heart out with more of the same flowers that I used on yesterday's card with scraps and, of course, added a dragonfly. I used some natural hemp twine and 2 big and 3 little brads and pop-dots. I crimped a brown paper lunch bag and then shredded it for the inside. I was planning on making some other things today, but it took me way too long to make this. I do think, however, it's kinda cute! Let me know what you think.

I hope you're having a great day and thanks for visiting!

Peace and Luv,

Feline Groovy?!! I luv this kitty and I haven't used it since Halloween, so when I came across this sentiment I thought I'd use it for her. The base of the card is Bazzill, then K&Company's So Saffron DP's, Close to Cocoa and cream cardstock. The kitty is inked in Chocolate chip and the marker I used is Creamy Caramel to color her in. I used lots of punches: circle, scallop circle, medium flower, medium and small coneflower. I used a Fiskars scissor for the decorative border, lots of rhinestones and some Offray brown ribbon and pop-dots. Hope you like her!

I had another pretty boring day in paradise here. No calls, but I'm still cranking resumes out, not sure what else to do.

Here are a couple of pics from last weekend of Neal and the girls.....and him and I!

Next, on a favorite blog of mine called Papier Creatif Juls had a little contest going for the first 5 people to leave a comment. It's sort of a pay it forward type thing, and since I was the first to comment I was one of the winners. So here are the rules, copied from Juls blog, but a few changes made to suit me a little better:

The first five people to respond to this post will get a card set made by me!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I hope you like and can use what I make, but no guarantees.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done within the next month.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I have tons of ideas, but who knows what it will be?
5. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same! (If you don't have a blog, no worries, just send me your address in an email if I don't have it already. Also, since I'm having problems with packages reaching their destination via general post office mail, I will be sending it with a signature confirmation. So make sure the address you give me is one where someone will be during the day to sign for it!) Don't get me started on that whole situation!!

Basically, the first (or only) 5 people to leave a comment will win a card set by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it and my blog name!

Take care - Peace and Luv,

Zebra style! These little guys are from Pink Petticoat. The base of the card is Sahara Sand cardstock, together with black and cream. The DP's are from Pocket Full of Posies and Kelly Panacci. There are 4 green brads and 2 blue rhinestones and the ribbon is from Michael's. The markers I used on them are Old Olive and Taken with Teal. I also used a Copic marker E00 Skin White around all of the images to warm them up a bit.

What did I do today you might ask? Laundry, ironing, cleaning, sent out resumes, watched some tv, made a couple cards, filed for unemployment, answered some emails, made a couple calls, and that's about it. I never even left the house! Not sure what I'll do tomorrow, but I have no excuses to not be creative!

Did you watch the Bachelor?! Oy! It was very juicy and only 2 more left!

I also watched the new Survivor that started last week and also the new Amazing Race which started Sunday. I'm in reality show heaven!

Thanks so much for visiting and leave me a comment - I really appreciate them!

Peace and Luv,

Today's post is a big thank you to Carol Dee in Iowa, my blogger friend who shares in my dragonfly obsession. She sent me not only a couple of stamps but some stamped images of stamps that she has! This is one of the images and of course I made this thank you card for her. The DP is K&Company's Que Sera Sera and also Memory Boutique, together with some Sunflower, black and off white cardstock. I used Old Olive and Summer Sun markers on the dragonfly. Also a small scallop Fiskars scissor and a border flower punch. Then an oval and oval scallop punch for the sentiment. Some yellowish rhinestones and some sheer ribbon finishes it off.

This is the card that Carol made and sent me! Just too cute and I luv the colors used along with the flower, ribbon and pearls, it's just perfect!

Here is Ali with one of the coloring book dragonfly images she sent that she made a card out of, dirty little mouth and all!

We had the kids for 3 days and so now I've finally got some chicken fettuccini and rolls in the oven and some candles lit for just us two. It's always fun to have them liven up the place, but exhausting too.

I'm continuing to send out resumes, mostly thru Careerbuilder.com. My sister, who's in Wisconsin, is finding all kinds of good stuff out there, including someone needing some phone/office help at a day spa! Gotta luv that! Anyway, we'll see if something hits this week so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Thank you again Carol - I appreciate the package you sent me, your kindness is so very much appreciated and the timing could not have been more perfect!

If you're here visiting, please leave me a comment. I so look forward to them!

Peace and Luv,

Hi there! Since I didn't get this posted Friday (because I got laid off from my job) here is the card that I made for Neal for Valentine's Day. First of all he luvs olives and second it's not too girly. I just used some Always Artichoke paper, with some black and white. The olive is an oval punch and then I used a small circle punch for the pimento. Then I used the ticket corner punch and some black rhinestones and also some red ribbon. That's it - pretty cute and so was he when he opened it!

Well like I said I got laid off Friday afternoon. Me as well as 5 others. Can't say we didn't see it coming, but I guess I wish they had given us some time to find something else beforehand, like I was promised. At any rate, I'm sending out resumes like mad and hopefully I'll get some calls next week. I know this is hitting everybody right now, but I have never been let go from a job before in my life, so it hit me pretty hard.

I'll write more tomorrow because of course I'll have the time to, plus Neal and the kids have no school tomorrow so they are off as well.

Peace and Luv,

Since I was at the card swap last nite I didn't have time to make anything new so here is a pic of the cards that I received. I had a good time, drank way too much coffee, and made lots of plans for March and April get togethers already. After getting a recipe from one of the gals we decided to start a recipe swap, I'm going to have a Stampin' Up party, and then another gal is now a Close to My Heart rep. Becky has converted her garage into a "crop space" for all of us to have these get togethers completely set up with tables and chairs and all of her stuff. I look forward to lots creating with all of them.

Happy Birthday Mom!! She would have been 77 years young today! I'm including a few pics of the vintage scrapbook that I did with some of her old, old pics. It's kinda hard to see without seeing the whole layout, that being both sides of the pages in the book, but I did want to share a few with you.

I miss her everyday, but I know that she would be just as proud of me today as she always was.

Take care and tell someone you luv them today!

Peace and Luv!

Card Swap day! Tonite I will be joining 11 lovely ladies for a card swap and this is what they will receive from me. I also made one of these for my Valentine swap friend Cara in Texas. The cardstock is Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose and cream. The DP is Kelly Panacci. The birdie is from Pink Petticoat. I used the same marker colors, altho some have the reverse colors. For the edging I used a Fiskars small scallop scissor and then a tiny hole punch, some twine, a coneflower punch, a regular hole punch for the center of the flower and then some sticker pearls and pop-dots. I finished off the inside a little bit too with some of the burgundy and cream cardstock and a few more pearls. I do hope they like them, I can't wait to see what I receive in return, and of course I will share them with all of you.

I hope all of you are doing well out there. Do drop me a line and let me know what you're up to, I really look forward to it.

Peace and much Luv,

Listen to your heart.....well sometimes that works for us and sometimes it doesn't, am I right? When I looked at the musical notes on this heart sticker that was what I thought of tho. I'm not sure I really can say I'm crazy about this layout that I came up with, but it is what it is. The cardstock is So Saffron, black and cream and the DP is K&Company's Que Sera Sera. Not sure where I got the sticker from, or the green staples for that matter. I used the same ribbon from yesterday, which is from Michael's and then a bit of crochet thread and a black square rhinestone. Let me know what you think.

Just look at this pile of goodies I received in the mail!! I joined a Valentine swap and I was so excited to find this box of great stuff from Cara. Check out her blog called What's Next Girls
about her great family and she also posted the stuff I sent her! Thanks so very much Cara - I luv, luv it all - you rock!!!!

So that was my special and good news and so as mentioned yesterday, I do have a bit of bad news to report regarding Neal's sister Lori. I think I've mentioned about how she was diagnosed with cervical cancer last fall. Well they got it, which was great, but 2 weeks later she has pain in her shoulder and now its in the lymphnodes. They've been trying different chemo treatments since then and all have made her so sick that she's been in and out of the hospital more times that you can imagine. Well Sunday with more extreme pain in her chest and stomach we find out she has a blood clot in her lungs and they are filling up with fluid. She and the family decided she's had enough and she's now letting hospice take over. It's just so absolutely amazing to me how quickly this awful poison takes over a persons body. She's 54. There were 5 siblings and, having lost their brother in November this has just been extremely overwhelming, as you can imagine. So I'd just ask that if you could send some good thoughts out to help ease her pain and help her thru her remaining time here on this earth, I would so appreciate it.

Much Peace and Luv to all of you!!

Hello and Happy Monday! This is what I call a cheater card because I didn't do too much on my own really. These are some notecards that I picked up at the Dollar Tree (8 notecards and envies for $1) that I tore apart and put back together with some Perfect Plum and Teal cardstock and Memory Boutique DP. I cut a second dragonfly out to pop-dot and glitter up and then just added some ribbon and rhinestones. Below is a close-up of how it looks.

My inspiration for this card are the gorgeous fairy's wings in the picture below, altho I'd like to believe that she looks more like a dragonfly. She was at the Renaissance Fair that we went to on Saturday and I was completely in awe of her, she was absolutely gorgeous and sparkly.

My apple dumpling eating an apple dumpling and ice cream. We had some gorgeous weather for it!

Here I am learning how to weave. The lady had lots of patience with me and I loved learning how to do it.

This funky lady was on top of one of the houses, but the dragonfly wings of course caught my attention.
And who wouldn't like to throw tomatoes at a guy who's insulting you right?!! I think we all need one of these somewhere close by to use on any given day!

Like I said we had an awesome time, the weather was great and for opening day it wasn't very crowded at all. I enjoyed seeing all of the ladies dressed up in those gorgeous dresses, but I'm not sure if I could choose an era I'd like to go back to that this would be the one. Still I'm intrigued by it all.

So Friday nite we did do some painting. What we did was paint 2 different walls 2 different colors. I'd take pics but unless you're standing in the room they wouldn't make sense. When we got the townhouse it was painted kind of a sagey avocadoy green, which is great, but we wanted to add some color and step it up a notch. So we painted one wall a rich red almost burgundy, by the dining room/kitchen and then another one a deep orangey/squashy color that's in the living room. We wanted some color and boy now we've got it, but we luv it!

I've got some other stuff to share with you too, some good, some bad, but I'll save it for now and start to get something constructive done here today. I do hope your day goes well tho, thanks for visiting, and drop me a line to let me know you were here!

Peace and Luv,
