Hey and Happy Weekend! I made this thank you card for my bank guy who helped me out in getting the car. I was going for manly, not sure it is so much, but y'all know how hard it is to do boy cards! The papers are SU's Parisian Breeze and they are thick and textured. I don't think they're in the new catalog tho, so I'm glad I was able to get them while I could. I actually stamped something, surprise surprise, and the stamp is also SU - and this thank you stamp is from the A Little Somethin' set and I stamped it in Chocolate Chip ink and then distressed it too. Then I just added a little bit of brown ribbon. This is a gift card holder, so it's a tri-fold but the right inside flap is glued down on the top and bottom so that the gift card can slide in. Then on the inside of the left flap I put my personal sentiment. Voila!

Here's a pic of my baby tiling the bathroom floor. He's never done this before and he is doing such an awesome job. I think we're going to have to tile all of the other bathrooms now too!! Just thought you'd like a little peek at what's happening in there as we go along.

I've got another Close to My Heart par-tay to attend here in a few hours, so I will be posting tomorrow what we make. I hear there may be around 20 of us today, so it should make for lots of laughter and fun!

I hope you have a great weekend - as always thanks for visiting, and take care of yourself and those you luv!

Much Peace and Luv to you!

Hi there - I've just got a little note card for ya today. I used some of the "older" SU In Color cardstocks, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. I had found this sheer ribbon not too long ago and I was excited about it because I knew it would match these cardstocks, and then they go and discontinue them! It figures, ya?! Anyway, the image is Pink Petticoat, colored in with markers and pop-dotted. The flowers are Close to My Heart and then I just added some rhinestones. I couldn't really decide what I wanted to say on the front, besides a little bird told me, so I left it without one. If you have any ideas, let me know!

I didn't post anything yesterday because my desk and computer were non-existent! We had some new lighting installed over our desks and so it took a little while to get everything back together again. My stuff was all over the place tho, and so I didn't get anything new done to post.

This has been a long week, but it always feels that way after a holiday I suppose. I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday. Neal is doing an awesome job on fixing up our little bathroom, and I can't wait to show you some pics. I wish I had taken some before pics. But just picture the usual white cabinet with an old beige sink that has a crack in it and a cigarette stain! It's going to be so beautiful when it's done, which we are both hoping will be the beginning of next week. We've had the dad of a friend of mine help out with the electricity and plumbing, who has been a huge help and we couldn't have done it without him. All this from finding a brand new sink in the dumpster!

Anyway, I hope your week has gone good, thanks for stopping in and take care!

Happy Tuesday, what's left of it at this point! This is the first sketch challenge for a new blog called Tuesday Morning Sketches. Well it's Tuesday nite for me, so I decided to do a sassy nite time version of a glitzy card. Like I said yesterday, I don't like doing horizontal cards, so today if you tilt your head to the left (hehe), you'll see how I followed the sketch. The image is Pink Petticoat, the papers are from DCWV's All Dressed Up glitter stack, with SU's Pretty in Pink, black and white cardstock. Then I just added some sheer black ribbon, pop-dotted the image, and added a rhinestone to the top of the shoe. It's pretty ooh-la-la, ya?!!

Congrat-shoe-lations to Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches for starting what I hope will bring lots of fun times ahead for all!

Peace and Luv,

P.S. Update for Wednesday 7/8: The challenge for today at 365 Cards:Day 130 is - That Tickles Me - and it's to make a card that's funny or put a smile on your face. Well I think that this card is just right for it! Enjoy!

You're cute as a bug! This is a stamp from Michael's $1 bin that I thought was too cute to pass up. It's also Mojo Monday and if you take the sketch and bend your neck to the right (hehe - I just pictured y'all doing that) you'll see that I did follow the sketch, with just a few additions. The papers used are from DCWV's Garden Party stack, with some SU Cameo Coral and some dark brown Bazzil. The markers are from SU's Earth Elements set. I used some Close to My Heart flowers, a green button and some pink crochet thread. Then I added a scrap of ribbon and some rhinestones. I just didn't like it the other direction, and I needed someplace to put the sentiment, so here you have it.

It's already after 10pm here, and I've got to get to bed I think. My eyes are starting to pinch me, so I think I'd better listen to them for once and get some good sleep in.

Thanks for visiting, I hope your week has gotten off to a great start, and take care!

Yoo Hoo!! Happy Sunday! I took a little creative license with today's Super Sketchy Sunday layout at 365 Cards:Day 127 and came up with this fun little gal. She's from Pink Petticoat, and the DP's are from DCWV's Green Stack. Man this paper is heavy! The cardstocks, that seemed to work so well with them, are from SU's Soft Subtles pack - as are the markers that I used. Then I just added some rhinestones to the flowers, some natural twill ribbon and twine. A very green card all around. Fun colors and I like how this one turned out.

Today we're winding down with the kids after all sleeping in a little bit. We had some pancakes for brunch with some sausage, or meat circles as Vanessa calls them, some fresh strawberries and orange juice. Their bellies are all full and I think they're headed down to the park to throw the frisbee around for a little while with Neal before they head home. I've got to get some laundry done and go grocery shopping for the week at my favorite store for just about anything, Sprouts.

I hope your weekend went well and that you're having a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for stopping in, luv the comments, and take care!

Happy 4th of July to you! For today at 365 Cards:Day 126-It's show your true colors day! This card is also using the sketch from Amy at Prairie Paper & Ink. The image is Pink Petticoat, as are the papers, together with some red Bazzill and white cardstock. Then I just added a few red rhinestones. It's very bright and I think this is a sure thing for my Card for Heroes box. I re-did this one several times, having another patterned paper before the solid red, but it was way too busy. I wanted to post this yesterday, but I just didn't like how it turned out, so I'm glad I re-did it this morning, and it's a bit better and a little bit easier on the eyes.

The second thing I want to share with you is my new car! Oh yes, it's a red beetle bug and it's a dream come true for me! It's not brand new, but new to me and I couldn't be happier! I will always remember that I got it for the 4th of July and it is certainly reason to celebrate. I'm having so much fun with it and so now I've got to find a couple of beetle stamps I think. If any of you know of a company that makes them, if you could forward the info along to me I'd really appreciate it.

Lastly, and much to my surprise, I won the June card of the month over at Sweetie's Sketches! The gals over there are truly sweet, and the challenges are really unique and make you think out of the box. For those of you who haven't visited them yet, do stop over and check them out! It just goes to show that we should all enter our creations as much as possible, because you just never know when you will win some free goodies!

I hope your weekend is going well and thanks for stopping in. I hope you enjoy your weekend wherever you are, and however you choose to spend it!
Take care!

Hey there and big smooches to you!! This image is a digital download freebie from Pollycraft that I thought was just the cutest, and you can't beat free, ya?! It's Day 124 at 365 Cards and the challenge is to use something computer generated. I figure the image is, plus I typed up the word smooches. I used an oval Nestie and then put a red button on it with some white twine. Since I'm in a festive mood, I did it all in red, white and blue. The striped paper is from The Paper Loft and the cardstock is SU's Creamy Caramel and Not Quite Navy. I colored the image in with the same color markers, with a few additional markers, but all from the Earth Elements set. For the hearts I put some clear glue down, and then I put some Prisma glitter on them. There are 3 tiny clear rhinestones on the flowers in the grass too. Cute and fun.

Well.....I got a car! I'm so happy, I can't even tell you! I decided I'll reveal it to you on Saturday, since it's a day of celebration and it will give me some time to try and get some good pics. If I don't like how I look in them, you'll just see the car! So stop back and check it out.

Thanks for visiting and for your continued inspiration.

Peace and Luv,
